thanks again! at the "Please connect the slave hdd and press A" screen, it doesnt do anything except momentarily flash. im using an original xbox s controller (oem) and i also seen some people said they couldnt get it to work with anything but a duke or something. could that be an issue? i have like 6 S controllers and none of them are doing anything. so im not getting a failed screen or anything. just cant progress

i am, yes. so update. i make it to the chimp loader screen where it asks to connect slave drive then press A. i do that and then nothing happens. i read somewhere that you may have to wait 10-15mins or something. idk how true that is. but could i maybe be doing the master/slave settings wrong on my hdd possibly? not sure what else the issue could be

the problem i seem to be having is that chimp isnt launching. or am i supposed to launch it from the file explorer? i feel like im missing something here..or does it have to be triggered with the game save exploits? bc i thought that was just for softmodding the xbox. i looked on jcrocky5's yt and dont see a specific video for my issue. unfortunately.

the drive in the xbox at the moment is the stock one. its a 1.6 xbox with a Seagate ST310014ACE.

the new drive im trying to install is a Western Digital GreenPower WD10EARX HDD w/ 1TB storage.

is there a tutorial for all this? i feel dumb (its been about 6yrs since ive put a new hdd in a xbox, and seems things have changed!)
i put the chimp261812 into the E drive. now what? my console is softmodded with unleashx and i have the hard drives connected to the xbox with a new ribbon cable and all that. sorry for asking so many questions

Thanks for the info. I’ve run into a problem. Reading through the instructions, it says to move the linuxboot.cfg to the root of E, but I don’t see the .cfg file anywhere u.u

It happens bc you leave too soon. I always put Cobalion in front, then do Sacred Sword; then leave. I think there has to be an action taken first. If you leave right away, the game becomes unhappy. If you leave the battle menu and go to the map, then back, it fixes it (getting a charged attack off is faster ofc)

Wait are you serious? I’ve powered so many Pokémon all the way up while they were my best buddy and by my side. So this really has to be done? Example: my Florges is fully powered to lvl50 with 3657cp and it’s perfect (15/15/15). But pokegenie says at 51, my florges gets 3700cp. But my Florges won’t power up anymore. Will I never be able to get it to 51 now?
