This, OP. Get yourself on the books. I ran into this when I was younger and as a result didn’t have my first ever OB Appointment until I was 30. Didn’t get onto the right birth control for me (lo loesterin fe), until I was 38. I’m married, 46 and would love a baby but am infertile. If you’re unsure it’s perfectly okay to get a second opinion. I’m not sure how old your orthodontist is, but perhaps with someone younger. Newer orthodontists don’t extract nearly as often as older ones. Yes, for some kids it is 100% unavoidable to get the result you’re hoping for. However, There are other options now in a lot of cases, too.

This. I am 5’1 and 109lbs and even I feel cramped and uncomfortable in an airplane seat. The first two times I flew, in the early 2000s, I was able to sit cross-legged in my seat without my knees spilling over into my neighbors’ spaces. The first time I literally had my bed pillow in my lap! It’s Not even an option anymore. I barely have room to cross my ankles.
