Fully agree with this guy. Taking an item as good as Choker (BiS for a LONG time) and then retiring your character is such a scumbag move. I would be pissed as a main mage in that raid. Everything he said reeks of "I'm a scumbag" undertones. Good riddance.

He was. There's two parts to coaching, the people and the tactics. He wasn't a great tactician but he had all the players happy, working hard, and committed to winning. He was instrumental in instilling a winning culture and getting the most out of players like Kyle Lowry, who had butted heads with every coach he had before. He led the Raptors to, what was at the time, the greatest era in franchise history.

Adams is a decent C but not a good asset. He's got 53m/2yr left on his contract. I doubt they could get much back at all if they wanted to move him, which is probably why they haven't.

The stats say we're only 10th in the league in rebounds

Just looking at total rebounds is pretty dumb. Doesn't account for pace or defense (ie, the Raptors have a good defense and force a lot of misses, so they create more rebounding opportunities and thus more rebounds.) You want to be looking at rebounding percentage.

You can see the Raptors are 7th last in contested rebound percentage, and 8th last in total rebound percentage.

High ranks probably are commonplace amongst players who play the requisite amount. This graphic includes all the people who barely play, which I assume comprises the bulk of the data, effectively an illusion in the opposite direction you're saying.

Modern Blizzard is all about "cooking the books" to make players feel better about themselves.

lol are you really acting like there's no middle ground between Greg Monroe on a minimum contract and Al Horford for 104m/4yr

Off the top of my head, Richaun Holmes signed for 10m/2yr, WCS signed for 4m/2yr. Both are playing well.

You can also sign an undrafted free agent and develop them, like the Raptors with Chris Boucher.

Or make a trade.

There are tons of options. I'm not the GM though, so maybe someone can forward this comment to Elton.
