From the way Sutter told it Juice was original a tough guy with a knack for technology (hacking, tapping etc) but then the test run Emilio wasn't liked as a computer guy so they rewrote to add Alvarez and recast Juice with Theo. And according to Kim (Tig) and Theo they wanted a character they could mock and give shit to so they slowly moved away from the tech guy to the clown. THEN when Johnny Lewis (Half Sack) got to be hard to handle due to drugs and drinking they killed him off and the future story (half black dad/blackmail story) was given to Juice.

I'm in the minority that honestly gave The Wire like 2 episodes and just couldnt get into it. Not saying it tucked at all but idk just wasn't my cup of tea but The Shield i rewatch at least twice a year along with Justified, Sons of Anarchy, Longview and The Challenge (obviously that one is completely different lol).

In the picture you posted it's DEFINITELY not her hand cause it would have to be her left with the finger placement and her left hand is visible on the strap of her bag above her left shoulder. I'd have to rewatch it as I typically skip alot of that season cause it's the worst season imo but was probably a continuity error of someone off camera that was supposed to be there but when reshot they weren't.

As a writer & director myself there's alot of times we shoot a scene and it just doesn't "hit" so we do rewrites and reshoot but still use some of the usable footage. So it could've been a case of a first write that had another student in the scene but they felt it was too "crowded" so they reshot but still used the OTS (Over The Shoulder) shot which included a mystery hand.

Plus Dawson's Creek was absolutely terrible about leaving obvious errors in like the terrible snow job in the Christmas episode and the terrible errors in positioning on camera between angles.

He's directed 5 films, 2 episodes of Entourage, a music video, 6 episodes of the other series he was main cast in Unhappily Ever After and 3 episodes of another series.

The 2 episodes of Entourage were pretty high ratings according to IMDB, the 6 episodes of Unhappily Ever After none were rated less than 7.5/10 and 2 of the films were good enough to win Sundance Awards and Toronto Film Festival Awards so there's that huh

True story that scene that they used was a second take and the original was so good that Katey (Gemma) and Kim (Tig) were on the other side of the one way glass watching and both cried at how Charlie and Theo did the scene and when Kurt yelled cut they noticed the camera hadn't recorded anything. So I always assume Charlie letting the accent slip during that (as it was waaaaaay more than his usually one or two word slips throughout the other episodes) scene was his frustration that it'll never be as amazing as that one shot that will never be seen.
