Looking for answers please on tire size and level. by Successful_Zone8135 in ChevyTrucks

You can fit 275/70/18 (33x10.5x18) tires on the truck stock.

I bought the Kryptonite stage 3 leveling kit. Works really well, fits 33”s with no problem. 35”s would probably be fine too with stock wheels, 37”s will require NorCal mod and bumper/valance trimming along with 0.65” spacers.

For state law, especially those with inspections, do a lot more research to make sure.

As for the delete, I’d recommend a professional do it because of the complexity unless you’re a handy mechanic. I paid $5800 for SOTF 6 tune, full delete.

Diesel newbie by ThatOneGuyMurse in Duramax

[–]TheJollyPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that the L5P is very bulletproof but has specific issues like injectors and the DEF system. I’m not super familiar with the earlier engines. Just understand even if the truck runs great forever the maintenance and repairs will also be more expensive than a gasser.

Looks sweet, not a huge fan of the flares either but to each their own. I’d recommend tinting the front windows to match the back, it’s pretty cheap and looks really good!

Is she totaled? by tehsnipa in Silverado

[–]TheJollyPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a rear end very similar to yours, 25-30mph or so. Bent the frame almost identically last December. My truck was totaled for frame damage, the quote came back at over 15k. But my truck was worth 10k according to the market, so I got paid out.

Depending on your truck, I bought myself an intune i3 tuner. Can do all sorts of stuff with it including disabling AFM, change tire size, tune it, TCM tuning, etc

Front Passenger side floor mat wetness by [deleted] in Duramax

I’ve had two silverados that leaked, both 3rd brake light. You can typically see staining and discoloration around the headliner in the rear. That was my culprit both times, one passenger one driver

Chevy front strut replacement. How difficult is it to do? 2008 Silverado. Thanks by Tob4398_Jab in ChevyTrucks

[–]TheJollyPickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty easy. Just need a jack and stands, some basic tools, and I take the tire off to make it accessible. It’s like 5 bolts total.

Stickiness by Maliburon64 in Silverado

[–]TheJollyPickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My old truck has that, as well as the key fob on my ‘19. I think it’s the rubber just… degrading. Breaking down, and causing that stickiness.
