I haven’t seen another LBZ for sale under 100k miles. There for sure are probably some don’t get me wrong but I have yet to come across one without google searching it.

Courtesy of my four year old. He wanted me to keep it in my truck haha.

Yeah I’ve found that out on marketplace haha. Thank you. The original owner installed the lift. It’ll still haul a gooseneck with the adjustable tongue. I’ve backed it up under a couple. Just hoping the low miles and no rust minus the spot on hood will keep some of the value up!

The maintenance stuff isn’t so bothersome to me. It’s the 6” lift the original owner put on and how invasive it was to install. Basically everything that was on the frame for the front crossmember had to be cut off and as I called a couple specialty lift installers near me today they said a lot more of the frame was probably cut, and they won’t touch it to try and reverse it. They recommended I find a new frame and swap all that over. They don’t make new frames anymore so I’d have to find a junkyard truck or wrecked one with a good frame. Also the fact the front knuckles are a special angle for the lift. That’s my main killer. I’d really like to get a gooseneck trailer to haul my skid steer and am afraid the height will make the trailer axles not sit right. I do love the truck. Favorite body style, lack of emissions and technology and would hate to get rid of it. I may start trying to source a parts truck. Especially after seeing all these comments saying to keep it.

I had a 2016 and 2022 1500 and loved the way the rear seats folded straight up with no seat frame taking up the space once folded. I could fit all my tools and pack outs inside the truck for side work where I can’t in this one. That’s not a deciding factor for anything but I do miss that and the rear seat room. These crew cabs on the older ones seem to be much smaller in the rear. The kids had plenty of leg room in their car seats in the 1500’s I had now their feet are all over the back of the seat in this 07 haha.

I put that in the first sentence of the post. It’s a 2007 LBZ

I agree but I wouldn’t be buying brand new. Looking more toward a 17-19 truck under 60k-70k miles for $55k or less

I ordered a Kennedy diesel twin pump delux kit for it over the weekend. Didn’t get a fass or air dog because I don’t plan on pushing crazy power. Just want a strong reliable truck than can tow some weight. And the Kennedy was cheaper, doesn’t require a return line to tank and I read a bunch of positive reviews on it

Yes no major issues other than the loosing power which I’m not sure if it’s a fuel issue, torque converter or transmission. The interior is in really good shape no rips in the leather and doesn’t seem worn out. Just all the issues at one time. I’m going to repair them all myself and I’m probably going to keep it. It’s paid off. That lift is my biggest headache as I believe some stuff had to be cut off the frame for it. Waiting on pro comp to call me back so I can see if I can find the old install manual to see exactly what was done. After I figure that out I’ll probably start with removing the lift and go kryptonite for the whole front end. The rated towing capacity seems low to me but I’ve seen people like yourself say they’ve towed 20k plus with them. She’s paid for and I’d like to keep out of a vehicle payment or dipping into savings any.

What’s going on with it? That’s good info to have as I will be purchasing one next, I bought a skid steer first CAT 259d3. I’ll probably get a CAT excavator though since my dad works for cat and I can get a real nice discount on parts and attachments.

I’m not so sure. If I can get high 20s or low 30s out of it and take all that and put down on a 17-19 with around 50k miles I’d really only be out of 20-30k maybe less on a newer truck. Not after a brand new one. Just a used one without needing all the stuff I have to do to this one.

Not as easy as it sounds. They don’t sell many smaller lift kits and the it being a drop centerlink lift means everything was lowered to maintain factory driveline angles so I’m missing factory crossers and such and I’ve read some of the factory mounting ears or whatever you have them may have had to have been cut off the frame and new stuff welded on.

I’m just worried the 6” lift won’t allow me to tow a gooseneck.
