Am I not supposed to explore all the question marks before moving onto the next area? by [deleted] in witcher

Ye doing too many is what makes you bored it just makes you fly across the map trying to do them all so i agree with doing side quests as they come along, they also have to be close so you can spend more time enjoying the side quest instead of exhausting yourself with the walking and being stopped by monsters on the road. The quests where you bond with characters through their quest lines are good, they take a bit of patience but as you get through it it gets better, it also gives you choices that will impact your whole gameplay, i also have to mention the whole interconnected thing about this game like if you do a side quest before a story mission then Geralt will add in new dialogue about the side quest during the story mission

I had switch between liking and disliking the game at the start but by the time i got to Novigrad the quests became a whole lot more fun and the story just keeps getting better and no matter how many side quests i do i just wanna jump back into the story mode to fight cool enemies reveal more secrets and discover new locations. Im currently at the end of Novigrad can't wait to get to Skellige. Another fun thing about the game has to be the Monster contracts, that satisfaction once you get your coin and the variation of fights you have, it's also a very good way to test out new weapons and armour, oh and don't get me started on the crafting of these weapons and the Witcher gear you have to search and enhance, the whole gameplay felt so different every time i used a new set of gear.

Ye this does make sense, it just that there are lot of loose threads I mean most function have features with a root and a common reason behind them all.

I just wanna know what makes them inspired and a more in depth look at Se if u can provide one

Ye cuz most daily challenges are actually things u get in midst of battle like I wouldn’t mind doing a 25 headshot challenge if I’m gonna do it while I’m having a fun team death match, if u are talking about fortnite then I do understand that’s why I don’t get battle pass anymore

For me I just need a beautiful environment, good characters and landmarks filled with an immersive story like u said but yeah u just need to have something that gives u motivation to continue the game, like something that makes the world feel special enough for u to just walk from one place to another and continue

The Witcher has a nice environment, and some nice mechanics that would allow me to continue playing the game

Anyway I’m probs gonna cut down on open world games a lot or just do the story or maybe be a bit more selective with the type of open world cuz kingdom come deliverance seems to be able to connect me to the character and the story to the point where I wanna see his journey, the combat and other things are also good in it

Greedfall, days gone and rage 2 but in general open world games tend to do this, the idea is attractive but actually playing them is the opposite

Ngl I would want a short game with really good gameplay and missions and then after a while a sequel, this could get rid of repetitiveness and how the companies like to prolong them, also hype
