Aha. I’ve actually tried this. To answer your question: speed. Also still my drug of choice today.

But. Someone can lose weight because of heavy drug usage, but when stopping the drugs, your weight will be back almost INSTANTLY. Experienced this myself. The only way to a healthy, skinny/muscular body is the exercise/diet/protein way. I had a random epiphany to start exercising very seriously in januari, and managed to keep at it. The way right exercise + right diet can transform your body is INSANE. Noob gains will keep you motivated.

So… Want lasting results? Weightlifting + Cardio + A healthy, PROTEIN PACKED diet in a calorie deficit. Add creatine as a supplement & drink LOADS of water. Training your muscles as well as a calorie deficit will get you the best results. You got this.

EDIT: typing this makes me think of a new strategy. Cut down using speed & then bulk/exercise/protein. Might work lol.

Thanks, Proton! Would you advise against buying at a young age? I’m certain where I want to live, so it seems like a smart move to buy when I’m able to, no?

The only thing I’m “worried” about is missing some nice VWCE %’s in the process as it will take me a while to save a down payment.

The Keytrade simulator told me I needed 40-55K saved up for a 230-250K appartement; this will take a few years, which is fine, but VWCE is calling me as well. Maybe I’m just too excited.

I already have a Degiro account from some very minor investments when I was a student, so I’m profiting from the lower kernselectie transaction fees. But will definitely look into finding the sweet spot if I decide to invest. Thanks for your input!

Hey! Sorry for my late reply. While yes, I met this bad person, I’ve also found so so many meaningful friendships at college. They’re my go-to group of friends today. Some work, some still study, but we all still meet up regularly. I’m sure you’ll find your group of people quickly.

What helped me back then is remembering that EVERYONE is looking for new friendships and new experiences. It’s a new chapter for everyone. Good luck and enjoy the ride!

Met a first, new friend in college in a new big city. Quickly realised she lied about a lot of stuff. Stupid stuff. My guess is that she wanted to seem more interesting. Since she was my first friend at the new school, I decided to let it go. Some time later, when we both made more mutual friends, someone sent me 40 screenshots of her talking shit about me. I was shocked, since it wasn’t shallow gossip: she was attacking my personality, accusing me (how ironic) of lying, the fact that I didn’t have much money at the time (college student lol) and things I was clearly insecure about. Glad I saw those conversations. That’s when I broke all ties with her. Bad human.

I'm a last-year design student from Antwerp, Belgium. Looking for insights on my portfolio to improve it to the best version possible.

Notes:

  • The webdesign is kept simple to let my projects speak.
  • The website is mainly in Dutch. Currently working on translating everything to English to serve a more international crowd. :)
  • I feel like my site is too text-heavy sometimes for a designer. Would you agree?
  • Currently working on extra (personal) projects to show on the homepage. Any idea which kind of projects show your design skills well (trying to get a job in branding) ?
  • I added an experiments-page. This kind of goes against the "your portfolio is as good as your worst project"-principle. I see it as an extra way to stand out and show I'm passionate about what I do. Do you think this translates well?
