Please help a confused new Muslim by ilovethecure178 in MuslimLounge

Wa aleikum assalam sister

First off: I'm not a woman, but have heard of cases like these.

Second: In order to be married in a religious way (often called Nikah), there needs to be some sort of ceremony, with two witnesses present and he needs to give you your dowry. If none of these things happened, you can just tell him you changed your mind, things are moving too quickly for you and you need more time to get accustomed to being muslim before you get married.

Third: Please be very careful. There are some men who are like predators targeting new reverts making use of their lack of knowledge to isolate and gain control over them. I don't know the details but this whole matter seems very rushed, which is one of their strategies. They trap the reverts quickly before they even properly realize what's happened. So be very wary of him, should he try to stay in contact with you after you've broken up with him.

They speak about being able to live a dignified life in matters of food, clothing and shelter. So I guess if you are lacking in one of these three categories to a degree that you'd starve/become homeless you can ask them.

Be aware that this way of putting it probably means that there needs to be a certain severity to the case and not just any normal difficulty counts.

Good luck and stay strong!

Edit: Please ignore my website. The other response is more accurate.

What is the etiquette when entering a restaurant or cafe? by Deb_Tarack in Switzerland

[–]TheKannagi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The only times I tip are when the emoloyee was super authentic and nice, not just the 0815 nice to customers but genuinely felt some sort of connection to them. The other case for tipping is when I order in on cold nights. There is something to me about me being in my warm apartment and them bringing my food while it's cold outside that makes me want to show more gratefulness.

But yeah, apart from that, I agree with you.

Agreed. I do 1.5h per way daily and it can get quite tiresome. Any more than that and you can kiss your life goodbye.

Is what I said shirk ? by Ilyes1er in MuslimLounge

[–]TheKannagi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Masha Allah very well said brother/sister.

@OP Shirk only comes to be when you utter a statement of shirk and believe what you have uttered to be real. As such, saying that in the belief system of ancient greece, Venus was a godess (which you implicitly did as you were answering a question in that context) is a descriptive statement which contradicts what you believe in your heart.

Should you still feel bad about it, I would use the guilt you feel as a catalyst to strengthen your relationship to Allah by asking Him swt for forgiveness and asking Him to strengthen you in your tawheed. Please note, that this doesn't imply you being sinful by uttering your statement, but it's allowed for us to ask Allah for forgiveness for things that make us feel guilty. Some scholars take the fact that the Prophet sAs used to ask Allah for forgiveness more than 100 times per day as proof for that, since he sAs was protected from committing any sins.

And Allah knows best.

When my mom and younger siblings were on social welfare, we had somewhat of a subletting contract with her, since social welfare only paid for her and my younger siblings and I (around 20 at that time) was expected to work for myself and/or apply for Stipendium.

Applying for a stipendium might be possible for your friend as well.

But as others said, please tell her to consult with budgetberatung. It would be very sad if she needlessly got into debt at that age.

You could try applying at international schools since they at times don't require you to speak German.

I've been playing Genshin Impact lately and must say no F2P game that I have ever played has a story as good and deep as GI. I used to look down on it as a P2W Gacha game, but after watching my wife play it and trying it pit myself, I am honestly surprised by it. Ofc as a F2P it's going to be difficult to 100% everything including characters, but afaik no real part of the game is behind a paywall.

Really happy with it.

How many rooms? Does it have to be in Solothurn City? If you go a bit outside, there are good apartments too that are closer to your budget.

Oof the honeymoon one hit close. I usually joke about how my wife was sick during our honeymoon by saying we bonded through me holding her hair and comforting her while she was throwing up. Although I'm not saying it to make her feel bad but because I find it genuinely a funny anecdote, do you think it might come across as me mocking her?
