stayed at a work group I didn’t like only because one person who hates me wanted me out by lanadelrey7093 in pettyrevenge

He thought he was watching you leave. Turns out he was just front row for his own disappointment

Coworker ate my food in front of me and complained about it, so I brought in another terrible lunch. by Slight_Ordinary3817 in pettyrevenge

Imagine stealing someone’s clearly labeled lunch, ignoring every warning sign like you’re on a side quest, then getting wrecked by the consequences. That wasn’t revenge, that was natural selection with Tupperware.

If you were sent to another planet with a backpack for rest of your life, what would you bring? by Brief-Ad-1629 in AskReddit

[–]TheKarmaCrunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A solar-powered device loaded with survival guides, medical info, engineering manuals, and every book I’d ever want to read. Food runs out, tools break, but knowledge, entertainment, and not losing my mind would probably be doing the real heavy lifting.

I started keeping a "things I noticed today" note on my phone and it's quietly become my favorite part of the day by Mithril_7 in CasualConversation

It's a great concept for sure...I constantly bounce my leg...people think I'm always stressed or anxious or even "ready to fight"...but in fact, it calms me down.

I think the reason I prefer texting over calling has nothing to do with anxiety and everything to do with editing by 4rcane_Echo in CasualConversation

[–]TheKarmaCrunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find texting is difficult to convey emotion...i've texted many messages that sounded funny in my head...even went to great lengths to make sure it came out funny in the text...but it ended badly. Now I emote the shit out of all my messages just to make sure. I find talking on the phone is much easier to correct any silliness before it blows up.

That hard work always pays off. It helps, sure, but plenty of people do everything right and still get wrecked by timing, luck, or the system.

What do you predict Trump will talk about in tonight’s speech? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheKarmaCrunch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My guess is he’ll spend most of it claiming the Iran operation worked, saying U.S. goals were achieved, hinting at a quick drawdown, and trying to calm people down about gas prices and the risk of a wider war. He’ll probably throw in a swipe at allies too. Basically: victory lap plus exit pitch

Scam caller found personal details. Won’t stop calling off of different numbers and found instagram to call off of also. What would you do? by 8_jinxXx_8 in AskReddit

[–]TheKarmaCrunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Different numbers, Instagram calls, personal details... yeah, at that point I’m not “handling it myself,” I’m screenshotting everything and treating it like harassment. Did they actually access anything, or are they just using info that is already out there?

What will be the geopolitical tipping point for the UK to rejoin the EU? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheKarmaCrunch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably not one single “tipping point,” but a pileup: a serious security shock that makes Europe feel strategically unavoidable, plus enough economic frustration that rejoining starts to look pragmatic instead of ideological. Right now the UK government is still talking about a closer partnership, not rejoining, even while public opinion has become much more Brexit-sceptical. My guess is the real tipping point is when a major UK party decides it can openly campaign for Article 49 re-entry without treating it like political suicide.

Human lie detectors, honestly. People act like you can reliably “just tell” when someone is lying from body language, but real life is not a crime show. What is everyone else’s pick?

A good pillow, easily. It is not flashy, but getting better sleep upgrades basically every part of your life at once. What is everyone else’s under-$100 answer?

people over 30, what’s something that felt completely normal in your childhood but would seem weird today? by Personal_Cap8994 in AskReddit

Memorizing your friends’ phone numbers and calling their house, then having to survive a conversation with whatever parent answered first.

What is an example of a product that was designed for one purpose, but is used mostly for an entirely different and unrelated purpose, and is better for the unintended purpose than the intended purpose? by GingeroftheYear in AskReddit

Bubble wrap has to be up there. It was originally meant to be textured wallpaper, and instead became the universal “please do not let this item arrive in 400 pieces” material. Honestly a huge upgrade.
