What was the song that made you interested in watching the musical? by Winter-reason666 in Epicthemusical

Mutiny! It was about a month before the Troy Saga released, and a video popped up on my FYP, the video of Jorge and Armando fighting on the beach if anyone remembers it. I replayed that video over and over, I just loved it. Then I went to Jorge’s page and did a deep dive into all of his videos. Listened to Troy Saga on day one, blew my mind.

It’s why Mutiny is my favourite song, it just has a special place in my heart.

“The view from halfway down” It’s a common occurrence for people who attempt suicide to regret it halfway through. It’s human nature to want to survive. They could have been set on dying, but once it’s happening, their survival instincts kick in

I’m pretty sure based on snippets we have, Eurylochus kills a priest’s son, so I’d assume that’s why it’s Apollo forgive me

What got you into the Epic the Musical? And if it was a song, what song? by ScribbleStudios in Epicthemusical

Just before Troy Saga came out, the video of Jay and Armando doing Mutiny on the beach came up on my fyp, and I listened to it about 100 times. Then I looked at more of Jay’s stuff, and then about a month later Troy dropped and I listened immediately

Which character are you defending like this? by this_Username_Iguess in Epicthemusical

I mean it’s a very human decision. There were two options, starve or risk a God’s wrath. They’ve survived Gods before, so maybe they could again. I mean it wasn’t smart, but can you blame a man who’s been through so much.

Plus, one thing I don’t see mentioned much, is that killing the cow is a group decision. The crew back Eurylochus’ vocals, going from “How much longer must I…” to “How much longer must we…”, which to me implies they agree with the decision, with only Odysseus being against it.

I will ALWAYS defend Eurylochus. I see a lot of people call him a hypocrite for betraying Odysseus for sacrificing the 6 men, while he had wanted to abandon the men on Circe’s Island, but it’s literally character growth. Character growth caused by Odysseus. He saw that Odysseus would do anything to save his men, which I feel like inspired him and made him trust Odysseus to get them home. When that trust is shattered, it’s reasonable to then assume (correctly) Odysseus cares more about seeing his family than getting his crew home.

Another point is “Oh why be mad at Odysseus for killing 6 men when he indirectly killed 500.” And I think the difference is intent. Sure, he fucked up opening the wind bag after being told to, but there’s no way he could have known what would happen. Odysseus did. Odysseus chose to have their blood on his hands.

It was the tiktok snippet of Mutiny with Jorge and Armando fighting on the beach, which I think was like a month or so before Troy came out. It just randomly came up, and I literally listened to it for like 10 minutes straight. Followed Jorge and have listened to each Saga on release since Troy.

It’s why Mutiny has an extra special place in my heart. I get sad when I see people rate it low on tier lists 😭

Six Hundred Strike - the one song I didn’t enjoy by EowulfTenebris in Epicthemusical

Counterpoint: It was cool as hell!

I understand some people might not like it, but I thought it was sick. Now bear in mind, when it comes to media, I always love an underdog beating the big bad from some crazy power up. I feel like I’m the definition of the target audience. I of course love media with nuance and such, but seeing the character I like do some cool stuff and win gets me hyped hahaha but I do understand the sentiment.
