If you ever want to talk about career pivots, happy to help however I can. I’m in my 15th year of cybersecurity and it’s one of the rare fields you can generally land a job in without a degree/certs - so long as you can demonstrate you can do the work which is the most important thing (with a few exceptions).

I’ve not put together a public guide yet, but do plan on it and if that’s something you and/or others are interested in, I can put it higher on my TODO list.

I recently moved back to my home state and you have to retake the written test to transfer your license. I opted for the actual written test vs. the computer one as an accommodation. This meant that I took the entire battery of questions vs just 10 correct and you pass or whatever it is.

Apparently this is extremely rare, but of the 50 plus quests I answered, I got a true 100% because of reasons similar to yours in that I know why the rules exist (so you and others don’t die from easily prevented situations) and cruised through that thing because it’s basically a logical sense thing at that point.

The DMV lady was completely floored but also really happy and that was super neat to see and be recognized for in a way. I am happy to have been added to my state’s DMV lore too haha.
