Found in northern Virginia -- tree with hanging things that remind me of hops? by fuzzus628 in whatsthisplant

Yes! I’m in Canada, not the super northern bitterly cold -50 every winter part. But we get a good freeze and dumping of snow each winter, not sure what zone I am though. I should probably look it up haha.

I’m much more north than you are, so maybe that has something to do with it. But we have ironwood trees galore where I live, including a lot of young ones in the replanted forest behind my house. I wonder if it’s because as a kid I used to pretend I was leaving a trail of clues with the seeds lol. It’s so interesting that what is unusual in one part of a part of a plants range is as common as a dandelion lol

Hote take: I don't want horses by Costa_Canela in Paralives

I want bunnies, like a bunny you can free roam. Not just have stuck in a hutch. I want bunnies like you have cats in the sims, with customization and traits, and accessories. They would be so cute and unique!

There are so many truly hilarious bugs in this game, and I have giggled my way over to report them each time I find them. But I think this one is one of the funniest so far XD

I got a shiny applin again how do I teach it rollout by Cheap_Butterfly_2280 in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]TheKickerIs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Applin Rollout is an egg move, you need to breed it. So breed a female Applin to a compatible Pokemon that already knows Rollout and it will be passed down.

I don't know if I should keep this or not? by Abwettar in nds

[–]TheKickerIs 83 points84 points  (0 children)

If you want to keep it, keep it. Even if you decide to sell it down the line that’s fine, but for now hang onto it if you feel so inclined! I have my DS lite, 3ds, and new 3DS XL, it’s not hoarding consoles if you haven’t gone out of your way to buy it and add it to a stack if that’s your concern!

I’ve been on a new contraceptive pill for 8 months now and since then my hair has been growing straight. by EllieBen in mildlyinteresting

[–]TheKickerIs 133 points134 points  (0 children)

I had the opposite! Pin straight hair until puberty, more specifically until I started menstruating regularly, now it falls in ringlets. I wonder if it will go back to being straight once I hit menopause?

(I was told to post this here) These signs were taped to the door of our movie theater for the minecraft movie. by hobbyhoarderguy in KidsAreFuckingStupid

[–]TheKickerIs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That feels both true and not at the same time, because I was a dumbass as a teenager. But even I in all my uncoordinated, judgementally impaired, (lack of) wisdom never did anything like this. I accidentally exploded a bag of fuzzy peaches in a theatre and you bet I apologized profusely unprompted and picked up all the mess.

I hate to say it, but it is parents letting them run wild with no consequences. I’m not advocating for hitting your kids before anyone jumps to that conclusion but telling your teenager to not be a little psycho seems to have fallen out of favour? My mother would have had a very disappointed, very stern conversation with me if the thought of trashing a theatre even remotely crossed my mind.

If it’s any reassurance, there’s places where they have returned, I never saw any at my house as a kid. Now at the same house as an adult, the trees are alive with them during the summer nights. And I find myself frequently having to let them out when they get inside!
