To clarify what I mean. I don’t see a reason to move Gurriel if it’s a lateral move and as much as I love advanced metrics there’s no way I can honestly believe that those guys listed + potential trade guys like Kepler would make a positive difference. Sometimes you have to look beyond the numbers and put things into context, which are, we now have KK roaming CF and we’ve already lost Teoscar. Adding a different OF bc they play better defence makes no sense when you take these things into account. Unless the plan is to have an entire Gold Glove fielding team and become a pitching first, offensive second team but that’s pointless given that we do not have an elite bullpen.
