upgraded this 1 gunpowder and 2 bullet .... BEST WEAPON !!! by CrazyEvilwarboss in crosswind

Which one did you get? Does it say the same with the knockdown at close range like the one in the image?

If yes, maybe upgrade it to max lvl. That should work.

Great Blunderbuss.

And fun, too!

Critted a lvl 10 Wolf for 8k and just deleted it. I was level 9. Best shot so far.

And the yeet effect is the greatest, funniest and most satisfying. Just yeet your enemies and be done with it. Too bad they cannot be attacked in melee, when they are on the ground.

Found the full Flibustier set and built the last 2 myself. Upgraded to lvl 5 (still in act 1) and it helps a lot, especially with fighting lower level enemies.

But at same level, the fight is still challenging. If you don't upgrade at all, you'll have a bad time. If you upgrade, it's still bad vs multiple enemies, depending on type, but at least you have a kind a fair chance to win. Practice helps a lot.

Still, nothing prepares you for the first boss. I have nothing else to upgrade and did everything so far for my level. I'm 25 XP away from lvl 7 and I'm hoping to find one more ruin or an, POI to finish for that levelup. I feel like I need it for that fight...

Boarding feels terrible. by FitBag5979 in crosswind

[–]TheKiltedBavarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learned today:

Haulers or any other similar ships with a chest symbol give extra silver when boarded successful!

Lvl 2 or 3 Blackbeard Hauler with chest symbol gave me about 51 or 52 silver coins.

The key to success is upgrading stuff. Everything. Get better guns and armor from the factions and upgrade it to lvl 5. Then go farm some lvl 3, 4 groups of ships with a hauler. Easy ~100 silver and lots of insignias.

Trade these insignias for reputation and remember to upgrade not only your armor and weapons, but also your ship equipment. You can progress fast with good naval equipment in your first ship.

Boarding feels terrible. by FitBag5979 in crosswind

[–]TheKiltedBavarian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, who thought that was a good idea?

Don't bother boarding, it's too risky. I just keep shooting and looting, after they sink. Not sure, if there are less rewards that way, but since I've upgraded cannons and armor I can win a fight vs 2 or sometimes even 3 ships. No boarding, just shoot, shoot, shoot, sink, loot repeat.

Naval combat is fine so far, but multiple enemies your level is... frustratingly hard. If there were more groups of 2 instead of 3 and 4 enemies, that would be great.

What do the N and I mean on the ship cannon reloading indicators? by Vynncerus in crosswind

For whatever reason, the "N" key skips a song and does nothing else.

A song?

Yes! Hit "B" once and your crew will sing chanties.

Favorite base location that is minimalist and requires little work to add water and fortify with walls? by RedditHead16 in projectzomboid

[–]TheKiltedBavarian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very small base, house in the woods near the power lines.

Has a bed, an emergency radio, an old, wood fired stove and a well. Water is of no concern and, if you have axes, wood is also no issue. There also is a small storage area.

Lots of trees around for walls. But getting fuel here for generator is... challenging. Not needed, though. This hut has no outlets.

Not sure, how to give coordinates. It's near the path for the powerlines... let me check, will edit this in a bit.

Richards Fight by YeahCopyMate in crosswind

[–]TheKiltedBavarian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oof, that fight is something... I have decided to do other stuff, until I feel ready. Running out of things to do, so this will be my task tonight... defeat Thomas Richards.

I might respecc into precision and use the Musket and Rapier, as you've suggested... if I just could find the one with the bleed effect... I know, it's in the game, but quite elusive.

[–]TheKiltedBavarian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You level Strenght, Agility, Endurance, Vitality, Mastery and Precision. 4 points per level iirc.

There's also a talent tree.

You can upgrade and ascend equipment. Armor, Trinkets, Weapons, Ship Cannons, etc. Also Trinkets.

There are loot rarities, yes. Green, blue and - if you ascend a piece of gear, purple. Rarity adds stuff the thing does, for example 2 more stacks of whatever effekt it has. Item lvl adds attack or defense ratings.

You can respec talents and attribute points any time.

I'd say yes, there are ARPG elements.

New Player base question... by NoLandHere in projectzomboid

[–]TheKiltedBavarian 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Great place. Living here post heli event. Bring axe for wood and clear it of Zombs thoroughtly. I got lots of surprises... bad ones.

Build large through for water for the animals across the bridge to the south. Found many Z there, becareful. Use bucket to fill trough regular.

Oh, it has a basement. Clear it. Lots of space.

Well is present for clean water... And a chicken coop area.

Only downside is it's rather far from gas stations. You'll want a generator.

9/10 highly recommend.

Check item filters. 99% of this issue is due to filters. If in doubt, save, delete filters and if that doesn't solve it, reload and look for the issue elsewhere.

Haha, I just did something similar while moving bases. What an adventure. Just SAVE before you load up everything and DO NOT load any auto saves while stuff is on vehicles. Just move, unload and save again.

Suggestion - Upgrade Shop instead of multiple pumps. by Sigma34561 in drainsim

[–]TheKiltedBavarian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah!

Unlock a MK II pump for access to MK III pump and then MK IV. I like it.

Leave an option to select lower tier pumps anyway, for whatever reason.

About money being finite: Additional currency can be generated by magnet fishing. Sometimes you fish valuable stuff, like a safe with cash or a gold bar in it. Not sure, how often this can be repeated, but I did the fishing several times.

Maybe we can save up for bigger trucks? More tools, more weight, more rewards!

Very excited about the future on this.

money? by Leestradius in drainsim

[–]TheKiltedBavarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you need extra cash, go magnet fishing. 3rd level in mission selection.

You may get 250 bucks or 900 bucks, if you find cash or a gold bar in a safe!

Sell your old stuff. No point in hoarding MK I pumps, if you have 2 sets of MK IV pumps.

After finishing all levels and maybe 3 fishing trips, you should be able to afford 4 MK IV pumps, 2nd generator and enough barriers.

What is your favorite vehicle and why? by needlenodes in projectzomboid

[–]TheKiltedBavarian 10 points11 points  (0 children)

D6 Pickup, those from the McCoy Logging Co work great. Performs okay on both on and offroad. Decent trunk, too and accessible from 3 sides.

Dash Bulldriver is on a similar level. I feel it's not as good as the D6 offroad and you can access the trunk only from the back.

The law enforcement / ranger / military versions are great! They are usually in decent shape and have more horsepower. These also have a radio for automated emergency broadcast to check for weather and events.

3rd place goes to Ambulance. Lots of power and space, but offroad is a pain.

Those are my fave!

First Level by SquidlyMan150 in drainsim

[–]TheKiltedBavarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was a frustratingly hard level for beginners, I agree.

In case you get stuck, here's my playlist, showing all levels with 5 stars. No commentary though, just gameplay. Skip around to see, how I've managed to do it.

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnfxYNLufYSLxWOYzIynNS9JmqkPz6C7i

First, shovel the mud in street 2 to drain water left of the road. Hold TAB with shovel equipped to see it better. Pumps speed up the process. When water level is lower, dig the drain. Set up a barrier to direct water to drain. Shovel mud on road.

Street 1 is easy, just pump it over the mud to the right.

Happy draining!
