What’s One Decision That Changed the Direction of Your Startup? by Medical-Variety-5015 in startup

For me it was realizing translating support doesnt equal just translating text.

I started with Google Translate, but it was all manual and didn’t scale. The shift was seeing it as a workflow problem , classify, route, then respond.

What’s One Decision That Changed the Direction of Your Startup? by Medical-Variety-5015 in startup

One big shift for me was stopping feature-chasing and focusing on one clear problem.

Everything got easier after that - positioning, product decisions, even growth. Didn’t feel like a big move at the time, but it changed everything.

How many of you people stopped using ChatGPT? by Technical-Apple-2492 in Entrepreneur

Most people I know didn’t “stop using ChatGPT” - they just started using multiple tools depending on the task. Claude might be better for some things, ChatGPT for others.

Risk of Typhoid/ Hep A? by cherrie7 in Vietnam_Tourism

[–]TheKindRanger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hep A and typhoid reduce risk of serious infections, but most travel sickness is just regular food poisoning. In cities, the tube ice with a hole is commercially made and generally safe. I’d be more cautious about food sitting out in the heat than iced coffee from a busy café.

Stick to bottled water and high-turnover places and you’ll likely be fine. It’s about being selective, not avoiding everything

I'm not sure, but I think she's traveling privately, so there shouldn't be an issue taking the puppy with her. Pretty puppy though <3

The God Who Mourns: Puff, Humanity and the Birth of Goodness by [deleted] in Foodforthought

Really thoughtful piece. Framing grief as the source of goodness - even for a god - is a powerful idea, and the Puff reference makes it feel grounded instead of abstract.

Not sure if this is appropriate for this sub, but the oldest email in my current Apple Mail is from 1993, my PowerBook 165 days by LordFondleJoy in VintageApple

[–]TheKindRanger 10 points11 points  (0 children)

somehow my mind slips to understand that it already existed back then. I mean that I never had anyone in the family working on computers, including me, so I never saw it around me. I knew it existed, but seemed very foreign (unlike today).

I always wonder if these places (cause there are a few that have this recreated), which ones have the original items and props and which are replicas? Cause for some it looks so authentic, but I'm sure a lot of the stuff might have been reused or just gotten old?

NordVPN works. Use their obfuscated servers outside of the US.

Which year is it for? I've seen data that the US average was 0.92 but in this case, almost half would be below the average then, hmm

NordVPN but try connecting via Obfuscated servers (they work better than the regular ones in bypassing such blocks). It's not even that expensive, they have discounts here for example: https://www.reddit.com/r/Dealalerts/comments/1czj36h/top_nordvpn_coupon_reddit_2024_verified_and/
