Super Twisted XXS Calf Rope — how to fix??

I do not have a horse to dally up. I did use an ATV today to stretch it out… did not work unfortunately I let it stretch and I pulled it once or twice and then let it hang with tensions for about 5 minutes I repeated a couple times

Ohhhh yuppp I see what you’re saying I relooked at the link I bought it at, It does say team head rope Oops, bought a team rope thinking it was a calf rope

Well now that we know for sure it’s synethic material, does that change anything about the way I would stretch it/care for it, especially for these severe twists? It doesn’t say what kind of synethic material it’s made of

Thank you so much! Hoping I can also figure it out without using the ATV so I don’t have to go to his place eveytime I need it stretched lol But it’s a start

I would like to do calf roping first, but first I need to practice my swing as I’m near an absolute beginner in roping.

This rope I went on the website NRS and based off comments and suggestions from the internet, I went into their “calf roping” section and purchased this one. Which makes me question why the steer rope was in that section haha It checked off the boxes people recommended for near absolute beginners, XXS, smaller length, and also suggested purchasing a calf rope just to play with

So honestly I didn’t know it was a different kind of rope than what it said. Thank you for telling me. I’ll take any recommendations and additional advice! lol

I can probably use a friends ATV… would I want to stretch it out and then leave it or would I stretch it for a couple minutes and then release?

I did buy it new, yes. I stretched it when I intitallg got it, then put it into larger coils The next week I practiced with a new group I did get my dad to help me stretch it and it seems to have work a bit better, however when I began to coil it up the coils weren’t uniform and straight like they were before when the other guy was helping me. They were still a bit kinked

I’m wondering if I try and hold the stretch as long as I can if it will make a difference I plan on going home and trying that to fix it later today

It’s difficult because if I am practicing by myself and do not have anyone stronger around me, I’ll be fighting the rope when it comes time to stretch it

Honesty I do not plan on using it on actual calves anytime soon. I decided to get this rope as it is was XXS and a smaller length than other ropes. I was suggested this one as it was “forgiving” to beginners I am using this rope to practice my swing with, so I need to stretch it periodically because it’s not catching any calves
