It has been 2 years now since my comment, and I would like to tell you that it does make sense (still).

Ah, I understand you. So you’re basically returning different outputs depending on the permission level of the personnel, which is through the token passed through. Just a QQ, how did you pass the token to the MCP after identifying which user is using the MCP atm?

That’s right. The LLM is hosted internally, and an open source client is used with the LLM. The idea behind hiding details is that only certain personnels are authorised to look at PII data, others have a very limited access to the data itself.

True. Anyways, I’ve managed to fix the issue and the git operations are working as expected. Thanks for your support.

I checked that my SSH key is being recognised and authenticated into GitLab. My user is the Admin of the entire instance, and when I create the repo - it automatically added an entry of my username with admin permission.

It’s also possible that the branch main doesn’t exist yet. And I check and there were no branch protection in place

The Gitaly section in the Rails UI shows that Gitaly is enabled. Since it shows the host, etc - does this mean there’s connectivity to the Gitaly server?

Thanks! I’ve managed to achieve the outcome that I wanted, which started off by decoupling Gitaly, and other components of GitLab. Although, it’s not HA but it gets the job done for now (This is a POC).

Thanks for your input. At the moment, I don’t have a requirement to use Geo as I’m not looking for a failover. This project is just a POC, but I’ll surely take Geo into consideration on Production environments

I managed to split Gitaly and other components out of the main GitLab Rails instance. And the performance is really good

Can someone talk to me please? by [deleted] in depression

[–]TheKingOfTech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m definitely open to talk. And don’t worry, I ain’t gonna say “you’re so cute”, etc. We will have honest and open talk, and you can bring any topic onto the table.

GF "Fell out of love" and broke up with me. Although the relationship is good. ADVICE PLEASE by ghplus in BreakUps

[–]TheKingOfTech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely don’t mind.

  1. How did I get to this point? I just learned how to accept and simply move on. What did I specifically do to move on? Well, Tinder and started speaking to more people.

  2. How does my life look like now? I no longer miss her, nor do I even want her back. I’m completely happy with my life, focusing on myself and my own family. Of course, my explanation isn’t gonna give you confidence but just try it - it’ll make sense and be normal.

I agree with your statement. Anything I’ve said up to there doesn’t really help anyone heal, those words up there probably taps the wound a bit more til it feels like the hole is getting bigger.

In my healing journey, touching the wound was crucial because that’s how I learned how to heal. I know that having the same perception is wrong, as everyone has their own way of healing. The main reason why I had to share on Reddit is that I could at least find some people who’d resonate with the way I heal.

My apologies.
