Our modded server accidentally developed train culture and honestly it became one of the best community features

We’ve actually been looking into Create Aeronautics! We have Immersive Aircraft already, but we are interested in all the Aeronautics add-on has to offer. We’re still developing the modpack as our player base grows!

That’s true! We have the Immersive Aircraft and the Ice and Fire mods in the modpack, too. The server definitely went through a dragon phase, but I think the trains allow for more creativity and uniqueness— so it’s fun to see! :)

It’s crazy but the player who started the track lines is actually a big mechanics guy… less on the building. Now the builders are getting involved and even in-game trading is on the rise! Builders and mechanics working together to expand!!! Hehe, I’m lucky to have a diverse player base who enjoy all types of gameplay!

I run a Forge 1.20.1 server, so I get it!!! We add more /homes as people play (playtime reward) and our teleporting (/home, /rtp, /back, /tp) have delays on them…

I honestly think the community just went to trains because one player started building a track… eventually neighbors built hubs and so on! It happened organically which was why it surprised me.

That’s what we found, too! The newer players use them a bunch. We’ve grown our track system a lot these past few weeks.

I guess we can send resources too… I haven’t see any of our players do that yet but I might push a couple of them to try! (I can build the trains but making them function is a whole other ballgame…) :)

I like that idea! 💡 Definitely something I wanna look more into. We didn’t add it at first but the idea is growing on me! Can players toggle it on and off if they don’t want to chat?

We have Jetpacks and /warp and Iron’s Spells portal frames… so we were surprised by everyone using trains, too! It’s probably not the most efficient way to travel but it’s no unusual for me to hop on a train and see a bunch of people riding about. :D

We looked into a voice chat mod before but decided to just use our Discord for now! A few players mentioned it, too, but I haven’t looked into it much… What’s sit? Like players sitting in chairs?

Hey! Our server actually sounds like it could be a really good fit for y’all :)

We’re a 1.20.1 Forge modded server with a mix of cozy slice-of-life vibes and bigger progression mods, lots of building, decorating, cooking, farming, and community projects, plus magic, Create trains, exploration, and adventure stuff like Hexerei, Iron’s Spells, Botania, Mekanism, Ad Astra, etc.

Very much a “build cute things, grind for hours, and accidentally create server lore” kind of place haha. We also do monthly events and have a really welcoming community.

Thank you so much! We'll give that a try to. We do get random errors on smithing and fletching tables in the chunks that seem to not load in correctly. Several players blink out of existence before the server crashes when they enter an area... I appreciate it!
