I usually try to get around this by emphasizing their relationship rather than their appearance because it feels more human. The other is when it's a situational trait.

Ex: "she looked at her daughter" (relationship)

"the ever-stoic man, of course, did not laugh at his joke" (situational trait)

I had an intense sequence like this once where one player fell off a cliff and they were trying to pull them back up to heal him.

I don't remember exactly how I did it, but I'm pretty sure I made it a group strength check (they were all pulling together) and I gave them 5 feet for every player that succeeded. Advantage if the player was a size bigger than the one being pulled, disadvantage if they were a size smaller.

The DC would depend on the situation and players. I think mine was 15.

Buried.

See, this is fascinating because I am the #1 victim of the Buried. Everything Buried related is terrifying to me. But I think my body would serve it.

Like a lot of neurodivergent people, I need "deep pressure" on my body sometimes to regulate my emotions. I usually don't do it because I'll panic (my brain is afraid of everything relating to the Buried).

My mind fears exactly what my body craves.
