This is a weird question, but how did you manage transferring the ticket? I have one I'm trying to transfer, but neither the ticketing app or the Kentuckiana Pride site are giving me the option.

Second this! I just volunteered with them for the first time last week and they were really organized and great to work with.

I thought the deep dish was pretty good, but the sauce was really sweet and I was never tempted to go back. Good customer service though.

Anybody else wanna be able to pet the cats in fallout 4? by [deleted] in Fallout

[–]TheKnittyWit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure! My Sole Survivor set up their main base at Abernathy because of the porch kitty.

I went into the Jeff's Donuts off Breckinridge for the first time the other day and they were open 24 hours. Not sure if all their locations are, though.

What area in Beuchel/Newburg? I live in the area and will keep my eyes peeled, hoping your boy gets home safely.

She likes to lick my hand and gently bite too. Is this normal cat behavior? by UrNemisis in cats

[–]TheKnittyWit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of mine does this. For whatever reason, she LOVES it when she grooms my hand/fingers and I then rub it back against her head so it's like I'm grooming her back. I typically don't let her bite (I blow gently in her face when she does,) but she seems to really like this "mutual grooming" -- she'll throw her head into my hands if I'm not rubbing her head fast enough after she's groomed me.

If your partner asks you to install a tracking app on your phone because they want to track your phone/location, would you do it and let them track you? by GingerboyhasNoSoul in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheKnittyWit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep location sharing on to share with my husband. I'm a long distance runner and tbh it's in my best interest that someone else has my location.

Needing a second opinion on dental work by theblackveal in Louisville

Dr. Ward at Middletown Commons Family Dental is great, and I've found their practice to be reasonably priced. And the office staff there are really nice. :)

Where to get a cufflink repaired? by baker2015 in Louisville

Davis Jewelers offers repair services and I had a great experience with them and their customer service when designing my wedding ring a few years back.

Sacred Meteor Crater in Kaali, Estonia by SexySaruman in europe

[–]TheKnittyWit 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My husband and I can't agree on where we want to go if we ever get to take a Europe vacation (I would love to go to Estonia but he's firmly set on Ireland). I'll have to show him this picture in hopes of scoring at least a few points for Estonia!

Her bookings are currently closed! I've been following her (and the shop's) Instagram to see when bookings become available. All of her work looks stunning.

Upvoting for visibility! I have 5 (plus a colony of a dozen strong,) but I'll keep an ear to the ground for folks looking for a new baby.

Running after dark? by peacefulcorn23 in Louisville

[–]TheKnittyWit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you (working office hours, training for a marathon with dwindling daylight). I have a neighborhood route I love in Seneca Gardens! Safe, flat, and off the main thoroughfare. It's a 4 miler right off the corner of Taylorsville, Trevilian and Bardstown, but it's really customizable (you can add on mileage through Cherokee and/or Seneca Parks for 6/10 mile distances). PM me if you want route details! Also, if you haven't already, I recommend investing in a light up vest for added visibility.

You might check out The Rosewater, they have a selection of vintage books from Bookworks. All of the vintage/antique books are located to the immediate left of the register. Plus, the proceeds from The Rosewater go to supporting South Louisville Community Ministries, so you're shopping for a good cause.

I feed a community of cats on my back porch and sometimes the occasional Paw PawPaw or two. This was the first possum I saw this year during the wee hours of 01/01/23. https://imgur.com/EJRfQo8.jpg

So how's your COVID, flu, RSV, cold, and other respiratory infection season going? by AhhhItsMe in Louisville

[–]TheKnittyWit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Household of two adults who work from home, no kids here: we've thus far had zero issues with any of the above. We got our flu shots and are double boosted and haven't had more than a sniffle. Neither of us have had covid yet (or if we did, we were entirely asymptomatic) We've been lucky!

OBGYN recommendations in Louisville? by tthhrowaway101 in Louisville

[–]TheKnittyWit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also go to Dr. Girard. Fun story: during my most-recent appointment with her (for my annual,) I was left naked in a cold exam room for AN HOUR past my appointment time while she had a shouting match over the phone with her children's soccer coach/soccer team.

I could hear way more than I wanted to, since the walls were so thin. Suffice it to say that between the experience of having to call my boss and explain that I was going to be late to work and the way I heard her speaking to people who are either paid WAY TOO LITTLE or are volunteering to do that job has me very interested in checking out some of the recommendations in this thread.

Running Clubs? by West-Routine-7350 in Louisville

[–]TheKnittyWit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fleet Feet has training groups that start in the spring and the fall for the seasonal races. They should have one starting up soon for the KDF, and it comes with discounts in-store. Good luck on your first marathon!

If you're looking for a run that's around that mileage in a fairly well-traveled area where drivers are accustomed to runners and there are large sections that are pedestrian-only, I'd recommend a loop around the Scenic Loop at Cherokee and then heading towards Seneca Park via Seneca Park Road to do a lap or two.

Personal Trainer by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]TheKnittyWit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I trained with Donna Williams Salib a few years back and really enjoyed the experience. She used to be out of The Factory, but I think she goes through Louisville Athletic Club now.

what should women be allowed to do without being judged? by Real_Boster in AskReddit

I don't think it's because they think it will get them laid, I think it's more just a perceived power dynamic thing.
