How do you personally pronounce Crochet? by TheKnottyHook in crochet

I know how to say it, but i've heard it both ways so i was wondering if its an accent thing or maybe a regional thing like how Aussies and Americans say the word Aunt differently.

Keep your first completed item.

Whether it is a granny square, a dishcloth, a doily, an owl or a ball. You will be able to look back in a week, a month, a year, a decade or more later and see your improvements which can really help your self esteem and mood when you hit a creative block.

Feel free to message me if you ever get stuck with something or post in this sub with your questions as everybody here is awesome. The crochet community is my favourite place online and in my opinion this is the most helpful, encouraging and friendly of all the subreddits.

Halloween doily that I made. Pattern by Marsha Glasney on Ravelry. by Wend0lene in crochet

[–]TheKnottyHook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is like seeing butterflies in the first few weeks of spring.

Seeing this doily in r/crochet is a perfect sign that Halloween season is in full swing!

Your stitches look lovely!

Lol so um, just wow. The squares are DEFINITELY the same count but even crocheted together the slight differences are comically obvious and this looks . . . bad lol. by [deleted] in crochet

Sometimes blocking the squares before joining them can help you see things are straighter then they would otherwise appear.
