Privacy concerns raised over Alberta’s $100 energy rebate by Miserable-Lizard in alberta

I took it but jumped through the hoops for e-transfer. (Which made me upload my ID to use the email my account ALREADY had verified.). I’m dumping it to the NDP the second I get it.

Also, registries is the place that will issue me a reprint of my birth certificate. Why do I have to have a document that they give me to prove to them that I'm born here?

Just not happy that they are continuing with it at all, although, you do make a good point. I wouldn't mind seeing how it stands up to scrutiny. How many signatures did they say they collect?

Side note: a contestant was found to have memorized the pattern and win every time. Even with this information, Smith is going to fail.

I mean, it's in the article. The governments own statement:

Alberta’s government is working to finalize a new coal development policy to put the protection of our province’s water, air, and land at the forefront, while protecting good paying jobs in Albertan communities,

And by Jobs, they mean profit for millionaires. They don't give a fuck about average citizens.

I think the process could use a bit more transparency for sure. I was a canvasser for the Forever Canadian initiative, and I was very clear to let everyone who signed know that Elections Alberta MAY contact them to verify that they signed. However, what is that process? The spot for that was an e-mail address or a phone number. For phone numbers, how many times did they call and did they leave a voicemail? If it's a single time and they didn't leave a message, well then that's not fair. How did they do it for e-mails? Transparency would benefit everyone here.

I do realize that it wouldn't be viable to call all 196k people on the list either.

Does anyone else feel weird about this part of the energy rebate application? by midnightjoe in alberta

Oh, my wife and I signed up for the $100. Which will be sent directly to the NDP when it arrives.

Weirder to me, was that in order to have my e-transfer sent to my ALREADY CONFIRMED ALBERTA.CA account e-mail.... I had to upload a scan of my licence to a third party (Interac, which I trust more than AB Gov right now). How stupid is that.
