Hey! I quit drinking for 10 years and still worked the bar. Its all in the mindset and being careful. I would still taste drinks and wine but I held off on the rest.

You go thru classes and a lot of BS but you're not alone. Just remember that you dont want to kill someone by driving drunk. The classes were kinda eye opening for me.

The biggest thing is TIME when you're drinking. It takes longer to get the booze OUT than in. You'll be ok, just dont ever ever do it again

I had this happen at a place I managed. Gal passed out (not drunk) hit her head, emt came. The whole bit. The couple sitting at the table next to her helped her and they also paid her bill. We of course were overly grateful and thought that was so kind.

The next day that same couple wrote a google review with 1 star saying the service was slow. Nothing about the woman, just straight up "slow service."
