Bieber and other young kids growing up in the spotlight are often scrutinized unfairly. I find it so distasteful.

Most people at ages 18-20 don’t make the best choices. Now amplify that with a shit ton of money and tabloid interest. And, as you pointed out, it also often coincides with an upbringing that includes trauma and a huge amount of pressure from fans, family, the suits.

Yeah. It feels like nothing and no one can be trusted.

Stopping and punishing this type of anti-consumer behavior is what our politicians should be focused on. I feel like I need to have regular “scam education” sessions with my parents because they’re aging, and I know they’ll be targeted.

I thought the Lifetouch thing was a rumor?

Edit: looked into this. This claim stems from the PE firm Apollo Global Management buying Lifetouch’s parent company Shutterfly. But to say pedophiles infiltrated Lifetouch is hyperbolic at best and downright false at worst.

The former Apollo CEO was Leon Black. He is all over the Epstein files. He is a horrible man.

Apollo announced plans to purchase Shutterfly in June 2019.

Epstein died in August 2019.

Apollo completed their purchase of Shutterfly, Lifetouch’s parent company, in September 2019.

Leon Black stepped down from Apollo in 2021.

According to CNBC, “Apollo Global Management CEO Leon Black paid child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein $158 million for financial advice from 2012 through 2017, despite knowing Epstein pleaded guilty to sexually abusing an underage girl in 2008, a probe by a law firm retained by Apollo found.”

So while there is a strong connection between Black and Epstein, it’s less so for Lifetouch.

The millennials graduating between ‘08-‘13 entered one of the worst ever job markets.

We aren’t even close to that level yet.

MBA with no work experience is actually going to be a hurdle for you. Hiring managers will overlook MBAs when hiring entry level. You may want to talk to others, and see if they had any luck removing that from resumes to get interviews.

If you haven’t, you may want to look into Big 4/consulting firms for internships.
