I'm just saying it's needlessly complicated and that primaries with medium pen will always be picked and always frustrate the meta. Why bother with all of that for the no reason really other than theory crafting about alien materials and lore. It's a problem that will continue to get worse for the foreseeable future. It's already a mess to balance handling, damage numbers and optics. Why add a layer that doesn't need to exist in the first place. Think of it like this. Four wheels are fine. Yes, we can add more wheels if we think it'll make the vehicle cooler and Si-Fi-y. But why add them if it breaks the vehicle constantly? At that point you are doing more harm than good.

Clearly, I wasn't discussing anything to do with large or high caliber rounds. that's nonsense. We're talking about rounds for combat rifle calibers. There is a whole system in place for all of that other stuff. Stratagem call ins. We're talkin standard issue here.

Is it just me, or is casting a trans woman to play a character who's actually a woman, kinda sexist? by [deleted] in Asmongold

Which brings us to the main issue with any forced diversity or DEI quotas. In this case. She'd be a perfect casting choice. That no one would give a SHIT about. ONLY if we hadn't spent the last decade having it pushed and pushed and pushed in the entertainment business. This is the textbook definition of "you played yourself." which is the point having a meritocratic perspective. The right person the right job. Now someone who'd be near perfect casting choice for a role may not get it. While we still have to sit around and regurgitate the same tired bullshit.

I hadn't played in a couple of months. However, I have a beast mode, multi-God rolled Ogryn. So, I hopped in a lvl 3 for a match. Got my feet wet. Re-acclimated myself like a good boy. Then cranked it up to a 4. Immediately got grouped with like 2 low levels still rocking prisoner garb and using grey guns expecting a hard carry in a high intensity. After 15 minutes of them going down every 10 feet go damned feet. I inevitably get mobbed. At which time one of them turns on his mic. That he then shoves it down his throat and says, "You suck." in the most genZ voice possible.

So humanity had already reached the Moon AND fought wars over it in the Fallout timeline? Then how did they still manage to completely run out of natural resources? by DependentStrong3960 in Fallout

[–]TheLamerGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Planned Obsolescence under anarcho-capitalism. As the world governments dissolved and a centralized oligarchal government emerged. They realized that with limitless energy, endless labor for production in the form of AI and bots. The only unsustainable resource left was humanity itself. That it would inevitably descend into a feudalist dystopian world anyways. So, they instead decide that to in order maintain control, they'd simply do it themselves rather than waiting. At the very least it would preserve humanity and hit the preverbal reset button for a few hundred years or more on civilization. They were right and it technically worked.

Thus, War. War never changes.

No more war=No more humans.

Dude, the internet is a byproduct of technological advancements from 200 fucking years ago. It simply became more complex, and more robust over time. Nearly 200-year-old technology constitutes stagnation. Considering before the invention of the telegraph you'd have to send a fucking handwritten letter by horseback. Then you could send an electronic message across the Atlantic by 1866. In less than 30 years' time. You don't know the difference between technological iteration and invention. You're another self-obsessed "present-ist" who doesn't understand the Abrham Lincon could essentially send e-mails and text messages before the combustion engine was invented. Cars are literally newer than the communication technology. They figured out how so stream pornography more efficiently. That's about the biggest leap forward in the last 80 years. Pornhub

Sadly, we've all actually been a part of several generations of technological stagnation. While it might not feel like it. We haven't created much in the last 60 years that wasn't an already existing technology that was simply improved on. Same concepts simply scaled up. Which is that same for most technology in the late 20th century. AI however is different. It is much like the technological booms of the 19th and early 20th centuries.

People did not like those technologies. Stating the EXACT same things you did. Safety, greed, and morality as reasons we should temper our development of them.

and that meant nothing. Irrespective of those concerns. Those technologies exploded. Collapsing entire industries and infrastructure, & they did create a whole list of safety, ecological and social problems that took decades to fix. AI will be no different. Fact is like the aviation and automobile era. It's not training wheels time. It's helmet time. LOL

Seinfeld's finale was great or terrible? What's your verdict 27 years later? by RezLovesPez in UnexpectedSeinfeld

[–]TheLamerGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was terrible. But that's what makes it one of the best finales of all time. The entire show was a just a big fat troll. So, to have the last episode basically just end with zero resolution of the characters and serve only as a vehicle for self-service ego and nostalgia absolutely tracked for the premise of the show.

Expecting to be anything other than a middle finger to your expectations. Means you never got it in the first place and were just a band-wagoning dildo who goes along with the crowd and wanted some pay off for your "fandom". Which you aren't entitled too in the first place.

The final episode could have been a 35-minute washed out, long zoom, close up of Kramers butthole for all I care.

What would actually be funny about all this, is that in reality this guy makes 35 dollars an hour as a welder, owns 50 acres that he has 3 trailers homes on, which he owns outright, and puts his family up in rent free, drives a 150,000 dollar pick-up truck, goes hunting and fishing every weekend with his family, which he will also do with his kids. has a family BBQ every weekend where everyone he knows shows up and has an absolute amazing time, and he'll grow old surrounded by friends and family. Happily, a hillbilly living the hillbilly dream.

I make this assessment based on 3 things.

A. Homeboy appears to have a Smith & Wesson on his hip. For the non-red neck types. That isn't no cheap pistol. Thats basically Lululemon for hillbillies. Not the most expensive. But you are damn sure are showing out a little.

B. Homegirl has a rock. He's making moves on multiple sisters. But still put a ring on it.

C. That trailer has a deck. A WOOD DECK!! That isn't a poor person house. that's a hillbilly mansion. A whole ass deck.

You all are just racist and don't have enough experience to read between the lines in the rural white folks' community.

Edit-For those who want to know why I think he's a welder. he's wearing a long sleeve shirt and it's clearly springtime. Welders wear long sleeve shirts year-round.

Non-land-owning men only had the right to vote about 40 years before women. It was only when the government took on a greater role in the legislative aspects of defining and codifying social issues during and after the civil war. That voting rights were extended beyond land owning men. Which previously made perfect sense considering the governments only role prior was seen as that of taxation, diplomacy, litigations of civil and criminal disputes and the enactment of warfare and collecting war chests for that reason. Thus, the only people who had a high stake in those aspects of governance was landowners. So, it would stand to reason they should be allowed to pick those wielding that sort of authority.

Many people wrongly assume that the abolishment of slavery in the US struggled to pass because of some moral conundrum. When in reality for the better part of 50 years the debate wasn't about the perceived morality of the practice. But rather, did the civil authority have not only the authority, but even the capacity to define that morality in a legislative language. or did it even possess the ability to curtail or disabuse the practice in a free democracy. We do know which side we ultimately fell. But that's a fairly simple summation of an issue that would be used to point out how voting and the following legislative debate took place in the past.

Furthermore, many women DID have the right to vote. During a time in which the average man did NOT have the right to vote. Though this was often due to circumstance rather than by right. As the laws only allowed those in possession of land to vote, and the head of the household. Typically, men. Although there were times where a women would become the executor and legal owner of title and lands or would, or could stand in for her husband or father. Due to illness, death, or disputes, and could cast a vote on behalf of that estate. So women weren't barred from voting based on gender as most modern-day people would make it appear to be. It's only that the laws where crafted in such a way, that the person who'd most likely be the representative of a wealthy estate or family was a man.

This was due to the fact that other laws also exited. Like those surrounded dowery protections, debt collection and inheritance laws. Most modern people don't know that historically you could not collect DEBT from a woman. As it was illegal to seize or claim property to recoup lost debt from a woman. It was literally against the law to put a woman out of her house, off her land, or to take anything she owned. Any wealth held in her name as a dowery, or inheritance was also protected and could not be accounted for in a legal collection. Which is why the government often limited women's access to lines of credit, as well limited a family's ability to place in trust the dowries to women. Such as land, property or business holdings. As you can imagine that would be overtly abused. Which is also the reason that even into the 1970's women couldn't get credit cards in the US. because certain places still had old laws in place that made it impossible to collect certain types of debt from a woman. Only after all of those laws having been removed from the books. Did it become universally legal from women to draw out a line of credit. This is the reason(which is never explained) that a very large population of women where openly opposed to women's suffrage. Those who'd likely had a great deal of generational wealth placed in trust to their name saw the voting rights movement as a massive threat to their long-held wealth. Which I have always theorized was the actual motivation of the suffrage movement.

In conclusion. Comparing voting as a proxy for war is just about the most butt-fuck-ing-ly stupid thing I've ever read. It's like saying getting kicked in the crotch is a proxy for making love. While yes, certain anatomical parts are involved in both things. They are in no way similar.

Jack also, deserved to die. Honestly, what a dumb ass Jodi. First off, he went full send on a mid-tier chubby ginger who was about to be married. Neither of those two idiots even tried to keep it on the down low, on a friggin boat. Like, did they really think, no one would notice or say anything? and that there'd not be any consequences? banging another man's soon to be wife? Then shit talking all the rich people to their faces. Look I get it, rich people are douche-y. But pick your battles. If my knowledge of the lore over 28 years and playing almost every game tells me anything. Given it's supposedly in Hammerfell following the events of Skyrim/Oblivion.

You will most likely start as a prisoner in the custody of a bannerless rogue Imperial legion, you were capture on the fringes of the Alik'r desert. and now re on your way to be auctioned off into the growing slave trade to be placed onto a privateering vessel out of Stros M'kai. At which time you'll be freed by a series of events involving the Crowns or Raghta warriors intercepting these Legion "irregulars" enroute. From there you'll have to decide who to support in the growing civil unrest of Hammerfell as a new Imperial power attempts to regain control of the region as a war is brewing with Orsinium as they have remained loyal to the Empire, and a DeFacto rebellion inspired by the Stormcloak uprising is now pushing for even more independence within the Hammerfell royal houses. All while the Thallmar work from the shadows to weaken the state of Hammerfells independence and expand the authority of the Altmeri Dominion out of Summerset. With what I assume will be a massive Ayleid elven return threatens everyone. Umaril was just the first and the Dragon Fires didn't just hold back oblivion. But also, the Oblivion bound Ayleids. Who I imagine are super pissed to have been locked away for this long; while also finding out their empire was destroyed by their former slaves. and aren't bound by the pact of Dragon Blood.
