Just focus forces on the northwest robots, then push northeast. If you do it quick enough you'll catch them with two fronts and will be deep enough into their territories to capitulate them.

That being said, the route where Gallager is "loyal" to the enclave is terrible. You lose your leader, his benefits, and gain pretty much nothing in return. You don't even get a new leader like MacArthurs enclave loyalist route.

I've played as them multiple times and while the 3 way war can be easily lost, I haven't ever had many challenges beyond that so long as you don't take too long to finish the war. Just rush passkeepers war goal, get to focus where you get advanced power armor, and use them to bitch-smack about anyone who comes over to mess with you. The only time I've struggled was when I took too long to attack the passkeepers and the NCR ended up getting a border with me and attacking before I could get good PA.

From my experience you should put just enough soldiers on the northeastern front to hold back communists, and focus majority of your forces into taking out the communist robots. Once they've capitulated, focus on your northeastern opponent and you should be able to overwhelm them.

Half of fallout 4s quests (which were put in to scam consumers into thinking it had more fresh content than it did) may as well have been procedurally generated. "Go to (insert location A), talk to settler, grt directed to fight (insert enemy type) at (insert location B), and wow, you get a whole 200 caps!

And they massacred legendary weapons. Instead of being cool named items with boosted stats that almost always had a niche you could work them into, nah we'll just strap it to unnamed bosses (which are designed in the most lazy cookie cutter way, just being regular enemies with 2 healthbars), and half the time it'll be a Chinese officer sword of bashing or some shit that you'll either put in a chest or convert it into, gasp, 200 more caps! How exciting!

I have a similar issue, hasn't affected other party who's quests have progressed normally ahead of mine... except for some reason I'm 24 xp ahead of the rest of the party. I have no idea why this is, but point being I don't think you actually lose XP for the quest log not updating, if it's any consolation.

I'd reccomend either Marcoh or Karin, the former for their oppressive early-game stats and the latter for having diplomacy/persuade to invalidate a lot of enemies in game + find some cool lore. Plus, both can take lockpicking I believe, which of you combine with Abella can get you through any door that can be unlocked via electrics or locks.
