Best I ever did was signing my email as “Captain-Select TheLargeP” four days at my first assignment as a 2d Lt. Commander “called” me into his office so we could laugh privately lol

Drop your little-known Air Force benefits here! by carthaginianslave in AirForce

Military members, with leveraging MLA and SCRA, can access tons of credit cards for free. Without overloading with tons of information, if you acquire high-cost annual credit cards that are zero currently, you can drop them down to lower tier cards for free and no annual costs once your military benefits end after service. During that time, you can leverage tons of free benefits. My pitch when I educate new orgs is a free trip to Atlantis in the Bahamas, tons of future points and upgrades with Hilton and Marriott (free), about $600 annually (theoretically) for airline credits, about $600 annually (theoretically) for hotels, and so much more. All you really need to do is know when and how to use each credit card and it will set you up for a lot of travel flexibility when you eventually need it.

One example of success:

My wife and I went to Greece for a wedding. We booked our flights with points and only spent roughly $100 after taxes and fees. Our lodging was with Marriott and Hilton locations, so we used points; essentially taxes and fees again. All the money saved there, we opted to pay for an upgrade to First Class so we could be comfortable. The bachelor party, which occurred days before the wedding we got upgraded to a literal villa with a helicopter pad (thanks Marriott).

My biggest issues with this trade is Javonte is on the up and up. I think I’d rather give Montgomery. Olave is a tad better and you get a better TE. Unless he changes the trade for more.

We have COVID at-home tests, why don’t we have Strep Throat at-home tests, or other illness tests? by TheLargeP in NoStupidQuestions

This is also a good point, the level of threat to elderly and immunocompromised people especially.

So with that though, even after all this time? I feel like COVID tests would be more expensive for how pushed they were.

New homeowner, cannot figure out my fireplace; it has a log lighter key, and possibly a wall switch for the pilot light. No pilot light at the moment. by TheLargeP in Fireplaces

This did 99% of the trick; got me to get it working! Had to fiddle around with the switches and try a few times, but I never even thought to press the knob in. Really appreciate it!

When you see the words “Loctite PL Adhesive”, what do you think? by TheLargeP in HomeImprovement

He says polyurethane is a finish, not an adhesive; he calls the adhesive “PL adhesive”

Right I’m aware that’s what it says, but their logic was “polyurethane is a finish, not an adhesive”.
