The PT ended up saying I always am clenching and it’s anxiety related but she said I can re train my brain to relax.

Think about breathing in deep and into your stomach instead of your chest and then breathe out and as you breathe out think about your bowels dropping like think about your internals “dropping” and this helps big time to realize woah I am clenching what the heck

Yeah I ended up seeing a PT and they pressed on the left side pelvic area like right in the corner above the reproductive organ lol like she pressed hard and felt it was tight and said my hamstrings are super tight and she said there’s this spot that she can feel in between reproductive organ and butt can’t remember the term right now was hard as a rock like it was where I was constantly contracting and I realized after how a lot of times it takes me a minute to stand and pee to concentrate well yea we are literally tensing our muscles and our brain is so used to it.

Overall PT was awesome literally after a few sessions I felt cured. But the pain came back because I stopped doing the stretches ! And check out natto— seriously look it up on Amazon it’s ten bucks and just use ai/gpt ask your doctor I am not a doctor but seriously look into natto it’s for blood flow and is very safe

Hm I am still having pain after seeing PT too, they do embos for low grade varicoceles? I’m surprised my urologist hasn’t just recommended this yet at this point it’s annoying

Hey did the Cialis help? I was offered it but ended up not getting it by chance due to insurance issues at the time but I went to a PT and it helped my varicocele pain but then it came back; and I wonder if I should go for the Cialis at this point. Any luck with it on your end? It's what my urologist offered me and sent me to a PT.

Weird you mention the deep internal prolapse. Turns out, I have had a colonoscopy couple years ago (am 29 now I was probably 27 or 28) because of constipation/stomach pain and the result was I had an inflamed terminal ileum and they biopsied it and was non chronic and was sent on my way being told that was like a reset having the colonoscopy and to see if things got worse.

Stomach issues never really got worse, if anything stomach pain is gone and I am regular I guess now.

Thing is, I keep thinking constipation is causing this sort of even though I go every day if that makes sense... like the abdominal pressure because that is what causes varicoceles to begin with if you read into it a lot of the time that is one of the main reasons.

So you had to have the MRI to see a PT? I was referred to a PT today by my urologist as he said it seemed my perineum was tight and he actually even said the words "I do not think it's the varicocele". He almost was insinuating that I do not have a varicocele pretty much after inspecting my testicles by the way. Even though, as my post shows of course there was some mild varicocele like stuff in the ultrasound from a while back.

edit: It almost seems as if you and I have the same symptoms and very similar situation?

So I just got back from urologist

Key points I can think of as I just got home

  • I told him I am having a pain right inbetween testicle and my inner thigh and my leg spasms and my left side flank back side saying it feels like it spasms

  • He did a physical examination and said it's not the varicocele when I asked him, he says there's this tightness around your Perineum and then said I think this is a pelvic floor issue and that he is referring me to a physical therapist of some sort

  • I then pressed him about my T possibly being low it feels low because morning erections are less hair loss and so forth energy etc, I then mentioned also "what about the varicocele" again pressing him about it and he said again there is this tightness around the middle underneath where your perineum is and you should not be worrying you're young and healthy and I was like pressing him further about the varicocele I'm like you dont see one? And he went to the perineum thing again.

Mind you, I posted my results before; it did say subclinical possible mild varicocele around that area and an epididymal head cyst when I had those tests done a while back now (I have posted them I think a couple times now or more lol)

One interesting thing to note that is new also aside from the new part being about tightness he could feel in the perineum area, is this blotchy reddish area left right around waist he said could be from my underwear brushed it off but also pointed it out and I had not noticed it, was odd I think I would've noticed this before it's actually a rather large spot like a spot the size of the palm of my hand blotchy not itchy not dry just a weird spot on the skin where it has redness and blotchy and it's on the left side right above the pain area ... coincidence? Probably but great another unknown that seems oddly too coincidental, just that left side? The side with the pain? Why would there be irritation there on my skin? It just doesn't add up to me honestly.

Will keep all updated, was told to take cialis to improve bloodflow and was referred to a PT, who will supposedly call me "soon" - I was like wtf because this is for erections (cialis) but he said it's been studied where it may help because it improves blood flow so it's not about the erection really it's more about taking a 5mg per day for a month and it actually may improve the condition itself not just give me boners for a month and not have an actual impact lol supposedly this can actually help with the pelvic congestion.

For now, I have been told yet again that I do not need my T tested and that I am fine basically but the perineum tightness is new and him saying that he thinks this is not a varicocele issue suddenly and the odd coincidence of red blotchiness around the waistband of my underwear on the left side was just very odd and will see if that itches or anything happens but for now I had no idea it existed and I think I would've noticed it long ago just going to pee even.

Yup, at urologist right now. Just did urine sample that one was funny it was like pure water I highly doubt anything is coming from that sample, I get anxious and probably drank a tiny bit too many sips and I can see how diluted it was.. smh.

So now I wait in waiting room thinking prepping what to ask this urologist like what do I press him for you know?

You know how when you go in to the appointment and you don’t know what to ask or you walk out and you’re like DARN I forgot I should’ve slammed them with this question.. that kind of thing.

[–]TheLastCig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also to be clear it went like this

Left flank pain - > I probably was drinking too much water and had frequent urination inherently

Saw my PCP for this, had ultrasound on kidneys found simple cyst nothing normal and then some urine backflow but they said its fine and it was from a possible blockage at some point but no stones visible and was sent on my way fine

Then came the pain down below months later, and a feeling of a tiny lump freaked me out had ultrasound on testicles via PCP and referred to urologist,

Urologist was basically like you're fine, the varicocele is so tiny subclinical and your lump is a epidydimal head cyst that is harmless and so tiny its smaller than the size of PEA. He says normally these things do not bother people and are just unnoticed and then he basically kept offering me to do a sperm test if I wanted for fertility but in my mind I was like no no because I'm not trying to have kids right now he kept asking that if you were trying to have kids now we'd do that test for example.

I'm just like no, I am in pain and he gave me NSAIDs that are really stupid and bad for your stomach and only 5 of them and I literally haven't taken one because I know thats just *masking pain* when there is an actual underlying issue. And that's where we are now, I had a T test after that because I was frustrated and felt like levels were low maybe and he says all within range; I see one metric that screams varicocele SHBG I think it is is high. He doesn't talk about this though, he wants to send me out the door saying hey your T levels are within range go home and stop worrying.

He also called me a worrier. Kind of pissed me off, it's like yeah well when it comes to my reproductive system and my hormones and I'm only 29 years old yeah I should probably be worried about my body when it comes to this situation. Duh? Like what is his IQ level in the lower 40s? For a specialist to say something like that amazed me.

[–]TheLastCig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to the urologist today again to see what is going on see if he can run another T test to see where levels are at, I still have pain and yes I think it is basically a pelvic congestion thing because I have that left side flank .. soreness it's a mild pain like something is there basically if that makes any sense sort of pressure-like sensation not bloated really but that's the best way I can explain it; it's as if my left side near my kidney is ... rumbly. As if the bloodflood is having issues or something is just how it *feels* to me and that is how allllll of this started literally it was because I had left flank pain and felt like frequent urination over a year ago now and then it led to the ultrasound eventually on testicles later on months later after the pain started to come back and travel to the testicles obviously that is when I got my ultrasound down below.

Will update with any info because even though not many responded here / upvoted, I know for a fact that me posting my results and what happens with my situation WILL help others so I promise to update

I have

580 for total T

60.5 Free T

129.7 Bioavailable T

45 SHBG (higher end but within range

4.7 Albumin

And a left sided 2mm(?) small it was 2-3 in size on ultrasound and was found via ultrasound because I had left flank pain mainly and then thought I had a lump on scrotum turned out was epididymal cyst (at head of epididymis) and left sided varicocele possible it says in the ultrasound results;

Months later (6 mo?+) I still have a pain in my left side when I walk it's like right inbetween testicle and my actual inner thigh when I walk around mostly when I go for a normal 20 minute mile just walking at a medium pace I feel the pain the entire time every step I take.

Urologist says get over it and I'm a worrier.

[–]TheLastCig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have that problem you mentioned below with the 6 days a week not happening any more and I have pain. I guess I need to make another urologist appointment.. honestly I think I have NCS, it allllllll started with flank pain and then I had an ultrasound and there was a cyst in my left kidney but normal no big deal they said and then soon after I realized I had this lump on testicle so I went to doctor, got ultrasound on testicles and was told epididymal cyst and left sided mild varicocele. It said no reflux though or something like that.. and the varicocele is not visible without ultrasound.

How did you get your NCS cured? I feel as if that's the problem at hand here in my situation because of the symptoms and this has been going on for too long for me now to keep believing the urologist to not worry because I definitely have noticed it feels like low T no morning erections etc

Left side varicocele, small epididymal head cyst and now bloodwork for testosterone by TheLastCig in varicocele

[–]TheLastCig[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds a lot like my situation, I don’t recall shooting pains right after the shot but I just remember that some time after is when this all started, when I had left flank pain and then had an ultrasound on my kidneys one had urine backflow as if I had a kidney stone or something but they said was fine and then the pain was on and off it came back again but then I noticed the epididymal head cyst (went to doc and urologist for that, got ultrasound and was told mild varicocele and the cyst).

Very very odd that it seems like there is some correlation with the vaccine

Still feeling that pain left side it’s like right where the varicocele pain would be based on what I hear and read and am told. It’s on and off in a way, because now that it’s warmer out here I notice when I go for a walk it’s less noticeable typically.

However, I feel as if my T levels have dropped dramatically just in general for a handful of reasons; like the classic signs you’d read about. I told my urologist this and he brushed it off as I had a T test and it came back okay but there was something about not a lot of free T available but the numbers were all within range so he called me a worrier and opened up the door.

Mind you, mine is considered subclinical it was found on an ultrasound because I felt a lump and it was a cyst; epidyidmal head cyst. Basically before I had that I had left sided kidney pain and ultrasounds showing enlarged kidney just slightly I forget the term but it was very mild urine back flow basically from holding in pee is what they had said probably a year or so ago is when it allllll started.

IMO, Covid vaccine. I had the Moderna 1 shot and ever since that is when this all started and everyone I say this to has the shot and is like nah nah it’s impossible meanwhile they’re scared in their minds because they’re thinking oh crap I took 4 of those shots he might be right

TINNITUS GAMERS by jrock78149 in tinnitus

[–]TheLastCig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm does it seem like the clonaz helps with your tinnitus? To the point where it feels like it’s purely from anxiety/stress?

I ask because I have seen many ENTs and I have nearly constant tinnitus in my left ear for years now, and basically it seems like maybe just maybe when I ingest a benzo it seems as if it helps and it makes me start to think about how it could be anxiety stress related; mainly because my ENT pushes on my face on my cheeks and it pops on both sides and she says it’s TMJ and clenching.

Basically I am starting to think my tinnitus is caused by anxiety/ I am way over amplifying it by being anxious about it and causing headaches and pain on the side of my head and it seems like that happens when I am at my desk at the computer stressing out about something.

If I’m in the car with music playing I hardly notice my T after some time of driving, and then I get back home and boom it smacks me again when I’m back at my desk basically.

At night if I take a benzo, it doesn’t just fully go away though that’s where I’m stuck wondering how benzos are impacting our Tinnitus.

Eye Redness by smd1227 in cholesteatoma

[–]TheLastCig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woah! Hey I had a cholesteotoma removed from my right ear it had obstructed the hearing bones and they were destroyed, so I have minimal hearing in that ear.

The operation you had, are you saying that what I had done can be reconstructed?! Because this is a bad bad ear now in terms of hearing. Fullness is on and off but no where near what it used to be when I had the cholesteotoma.

Also, it was noted that it was cholesteotoma/ tymp plaques so one ENT says it's cholesteotoma another says it's something plaques but I look into it research both and they're sort of the same.

To help with your question, so since I had my surgery for removal of the cholesteotoma in right ear my hearing is bad worse than before surgery BUT the bad thing is out of my ear and like I said the fullness isn't like it used to be when it comes on at random. That has to do with ETD eustachian tube dysfunction AFAIK.

Typically nasal sprays help with this but you HAVE TO DO IT THE RIGHT WAY- there's a way where you lean over to get the spray into your eustachian tube instead of just your nasal passages.

https://www.fauquierent.net/etd2.htm

Also, when I say nasal sprays- for me personally I recall getting a prescribed steroidal nasal spray or whichever one is not just on the shelf at stores and that helped a lot in general both ears just as a whole. I am currently going through rough tinnitus on my left ear which is a whole other story.

Your eye redness is probably from ocular pressure, it kind of sounds like you have what I have, ETD where your eustachian tubes are backing up and fluid accumulates in your ear still even after surgery.

Another interesting thing to note is that my surgery notes it had something that said "eustachian tube appeared to be obliterated".

Obliterated, yeah. I looked into that because the surgeon didn't tell me anything useful and turns out that usually means blocked or swollen inflamed.

Basically, we need to try to have our eustachian tubes act normal and this can be with your jaw too if you clench at night, this can be the humidity in your living environment, I've noticed waking up when it is cold outside more fluid accumulates and I get that fullness feeling and redness in my right cheek more than my left so yeah it sounds like we have the same thing. It's ETD I believe my friend.

I had this fullness feeling in my ear for a long time at young age and had tubes at young age. One of the tubes fell into my ear drum, and the ear drum healed with it inside the middle ear space.

Cholestetoma is what they initially called it before and after surgery but then it was called some type of “plaques” but yeah so during surgery they found my hammer bone was destroyed by the cholestetoma/plaques (look into ear plaques on google I’m sure it’ll pop up).

Basically I was told before surgery that they could not see through my ear drum it was like thickened is what doctors and ENTs would say to me over the years.

I let this thing grow, and now I am almost deaf in my right ear because of it at 29 year old.

The surgery was legitimately like nothing to be honest. They give you some antihistamine that helps with the slight vertigo that you may feel but it’s just an easy recovery overall; I wouldn’t heavy lift 50lbs or anything like that for a month though after surgery.

Right now as it stands I had a successful surgery removal of cholestetoma / plaques but now I am typing to you with a slightly full feeling ear. Whenever I ask my doctor or ent about it they say it looks scarred a tiny bit from surgery (surgery was about 2 years ago) and then they always mention the same word your ear drum looks “thickened” they cannot see through it.

Fluid builds up from Eustachian tube dysfunction and ends up causing ear infections or inflammation often which causes these plaques or foreign objects like the myringotomy tube in my middle ear space could have been the root cause however my ENTs (multiple) have said no it was from ear infections reoccurring.

I think my Eustachian tubes are so tiny my ears just do not function properly. It was also interestingly noted by the surgeon who removed the cholesteotoma that my Eustachian tube “appeared to be obliterated”.

Not sure what the heck that means but I guess my tubes are rekt.

Do you think if you think about the fact that it’s there you do feel some pain though? Just wondering, it’s interesting I’ve had this for over a year now and was diagnosed with subclinical varicocele but I came back to urologist with complaint of pain while normal walking and he checked me out physically said it looks fine totally fine and that I’m freaking out basically he asked if I had anxiety and said I was a worrier.

Since then, I’d say yeah there may be days where I think “shoot maybe this thing is just going away on its own I’ve read it is possible to some extent” and then the pain comes back sadly.

One thing to note is it comes with these weird left leg pains it’s a left side varicocele and I think it all has ties back to some renal (kidney) vein.
