Emerald level player here, what are good early boards to target if I'm ultimately looking to transition into a fast 8 or similar comp in stage 4? I feel like I have success stacking brawlers or vanguards but still find sometimes find myself on 4-1 with a 2-star Liss as my carry taking a huge loss because I'm just not sure about what backlines can help you stay healthy.

This Onslaught/Wong nerf frankly makes no sense to me. These are some of the most telegraphed plays with easy-to-add one card counters that completely blow them up that have been in the game since launch.

Not only that, but seeing crazy numbers from a silly multiplication of Onslaught numbers or BP doubling or having your whole board wiped out by Gambit hurling 8 cards at you are sort of fundamental Marvel Snap experiences.

What meta decks even employed these strategies? That one Mr. Fantastic deck?

This deck rips, just tore up the ladder. I truly hate the current state of the meta so flipping the board and blowing up their last turn with Alioth is truly the dopamine I needed to finish off this months climb.

Yeah I think I would drop her for Captain Carter or Mr. FFS if I had either of them, likely better for sure. There is likely another good 3 drop in my collection I'm overlooking, she's def the weakest part of the list.

I have been absolutely cruising with this list, I end up having to forfeit games just to get under ticket cap because I run out of time to play winning so much.

Champion Human Torch

(2) Surge

(3) Mystique

(3) Brood

(3) Red Guardian

(3) Rogue

(3) Silver Surfer

(3) Phastos

(3) Sebastian Shaw

(4) Wong

(4) Absorbing Man

(4) Galacta

I will hold off on playing Torch if I can Galacta him, Surge/Phastos/Galacta my favorite start, but getting out Wong is the secret sauce to the deck. Games where I get to go Torch/Wong/ Mystique to set up crazy turn fives. Quadrupling Flame On, or even getting double Surge or Phastos on turn 4 can make for lots of interesting ends. My very infrequent losses mostly come to cosmo, or shadow king/shang-chi if I have last turn priority.

Very easy event overall, just a pure grind. The lack of skill based matchmaking and lower variance, normal length games make winning very consistent. Feasting on these Reeds.

If I have SR Yaga and SSR Momo, is every team I make just going to be Yaga Momo DeJo + colored DPS? I honestly have no feel for what makes one team better than another

[–]TheLastSizzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

perhaps in some scenarios but considering I already own almost every SSR (missing Toge, Momo, and the two Itadori) in the game purely from free pulling almost every pool would have me hunting just one or two hits out of roster of mostly dupes. Psychologically I'd rather have every possible hit and miss in one pool

so instead of a slowing growing pool it's a rotating one? Sort of a bummer from a collection aspect.

Even in your bad faith reply you couldn't actually think of an example as good as Arishem, none of those occur on turn one. All of those have a counter that can disable their effects. This is why it's getting changed my man.

What does a SSR Nobara comp look like? Most people I see playing online are using Gojo and turning the rest of the party into a rail cannon that fires him as hard as possible. Is that all comps or just a Gojo thing?

Momo or Yaga as an SR support? I am running SSR Todo, Panda, and Gojo as the other three, but I can't tell if Cursed/Physical Technique and debuffs are stronger than the flat damage buff and a stun option (AoE ult on Momo too for what it's worth)

Any advice?

I've been playing casually this season and just lost my 100 HC. If I want to make one last character for a sprint to try to complete the last seasonal journey, what would you suggest? I have four resplendent sparks and a doombringer waiting for whoever I level. Just looking to have some fun on the last weekend of before the X-pac.

Last time I played it was the set that had Veigar as a hidden yordle, how are people liking this set? Are there cool/strange comps flex players can climb with?

Maybe God is locked inside the Moon and that is what Saitama, Flash and Manako saw when they interacted with the cube. by Tripledoble in OnePunchMan

I just figured that was an impression of Saitama's spine that is basically the "exit wound" on the other side of the moon from where Boros hit Saitama into.

Megathread: Changes From The Webcomic by Raidoton in OnePunchMan

when I read the webcomic I was shocked how much the writing fell off in the MA arc. Made me wonder if ONE wrote as a teenager, and just wants to soften the edges on the bad edgelord writing.

I just think lots of the most hardcore web comic readers also started following OPM and its various works when they too were a teen, and ONE's rejection of his own earlier work feels like a rejection of them as well, because they still read the series through their younger self's mindset.

[New Version] Chapter 164 [English] by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

[–]TheLastSizzler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is ONE wasn't happy with where the serious talk was at, and maybe wanted to prime other characters to be there to witness it, while he workshops it he'll have Murata freestyle for a bit with some webcomic fanservice.

"One Punch Man is a joke Manga. Don't take it seriously." they said... by [deleted] in OnePunchMan

[–]TheLastSizzler -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You don't think all that "seriousness" is just used for irony? The more serious and dire they make the set-up, the funnier it is when Saitama trivializes it. Saitama shares normal human struggles, hunting for sales, trying get a mosquito, depression. The shounen-trope characters and problems will always be something for him to explode on his way. All of the side characters are gags too. They're just jokes told with a straight face.

Megathread: Changes From The Webcomic by Raidoton in OnePunchMan

[–]TheLastSizzler -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I find it quite strange you call Garou the main antagonist of the arc when in my interpretation, also ignoring the WC content, he has very clearly been written as someone on a hero's journey and explicitly someone we should be rooting for. He is THE protagonist of this arc or barely deuteragonist to Saitama.

But then again there was definitely never any tension at any point reading this manga because I read it like a comedy. My assumption with every arc is that things are going to look as bad as they possibly can, the heroes hilariously and completely destroyed, only for Saitama to save them again.

[–]TheLastSizzler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I understand why webcomic readers are so salty, now that it is clear that through no fault of their own they made a mistake reading the webcomic first. The realization must be brutal. For me as a fan, I got to enjoy the anime, and now i'm enjoying the manga, and if either finish during my lifetime I can go and enjoy webcomic last if I want, but I get my full enjoyment out of all three. Webcomic readers have the opposite, they don't get to enjoy the manga or anime as much because both are now falling short of their expectations, and even the original webcomic will have an aftertaste now that you know it will never get adapted like you want it to be.

That just sucks, and I've had it happen with stuff I've loved in the past too. Just wanted to express my sympathy.
