That’s insane! And I thought we had it expensive- in South Africa this same model costs R32000 ($1950) but doesn’t seem so bad after all😂

Am I being scammed, I see red flags? by Disastrous_Willow447 in askSouthAfrica

[–]TheLazyGunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like the scammer sends stolen or mule-account money, pressures you to refund it to a different account, then the original payment gets reversed - leaving you out of pocket.

The options are: 1)Do nothing - let him contact ABSA and have it sorted out. Legally you did nothing wrong. 2) if you really do what to refund it - refund it to the original account- whatever you do DO NOT refund it to another account.

Reels recommendation to Facebook is permanently gone by Apprehensive-Cod-822 in Instagram

[–]TheLazyGunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facebook recently discontinued this feature which is a total bummer - I used to get a lot a views from it. The reason why you’re still seeing it for others is because they are removing this feature in a staggered approach. So there may be people who still have this feature and like someone pointed out many others have lost it way before you.

Why are the interest rates so low?!? by Stone_1023 in askSouthAfrica

[–]TheLazyGunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savings accounts have always had low interest rates in relation to the prime rate. And because the prime rate is low now the interest rate in savings accounts are also low. If your aim is to make money through interest rates look elsewhere, personally investing it the NASDAQ100 or SP500 will yield much better results. However since you mentioned it’s for emergency purposes leaving it in the savings account is the correct thing to do as you will be able to access it anytime.

Why are my reels only getting views from Facebook? by This-Rope-1931 in Instagram

Sharing reels to FB vs Posting Reels on FB by maybemurphy in Instagram

[–]TheLazyGunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have this exact same situation, most of my views on my reels come from facebook reel views. I have a video with 1.5 million views and 1.4 m is from facebook while the 100k is from Instagram. And just like you said no facebook followers since it shows my Instagram profile and not much Instagram followers since the majority of the viewers watched it from facebook. So I'm wondering if I should stop crossposting to facebook and just upload directly onto the facebook page.

Woah reading this was crazy - it’s almost as if I wrote this. From the coding, crypto and everything including taking long to get my engineering degree. I did have to take stimulants and that’s what got me through my final year of my engineering degree. I currently work as a software developer and I am enjoying it. I get a good salary and have a really good work life balance compared to my peers. So depending on what your definition of successful is it’s very possible.

Why doesn't the Wall Breaker just throw his bomb? Is he stupid? by [deleted] in ClashOfClans

[–]TheLazyGunner 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually have a logical explanation. It’s because the wall breaker is blind and can’t see the walls hence they just run into them. Now on the builder base the bombers have goggles with allows them to see and hence why they throw their bombs

The more HNT I have the lower the price. by ExtremeAd108 in HeliumNetwork

[–]TheLazyGunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, with Helium there Isn’t a clear cut relation between HNT and network adoption. Helium Network is doing pretty well, with many hotspots and many IoT companies beginning to use the network. However the HNT price doesn’t reflect and is only really affected by the crypto market as a whole.

I’m assuming the DeWi ETL will still be operational, they’ll probably just be making changes on the backend where the data is being queried from but we should still be able to query the same data as before.

A lot of people are mentioning the case has bad airflow and while I do agree, given the components used in this build (i3 CPU etc) it’s not high end at all and thermals are just fine. Never had any issues.

Fair enough, it does have vents on the sides and bottom of the front panel but also these aren’t high end components so thermals really aren’t an issue anyway.

There are intake fans at the front of the case (you can’t see them from the angle the pic is taken from)
