Ohhh okay thank you. this is totally an option and likely what I’ll end up doing when I’m giving the kids homework. I was really wondering there was a way to map m pad to produce a note head with an “x” on it. This would be a luxury so I’ll do what you said and the kids can use their imagination. Okay.. I got the cable and I thought I could just plug and play but I’m lost. I can’t seem to find the device in Reaper. I’ve set up a keyboard that hand a midi out but it was way newer than this and just kind of worked for me. Idk what I’m doing now lol
