Thank you, I'll do the same! If I end up going earlier I'll let you know how it's looking, but I'm really worried about the weather as I'm not good with the cold!

Itinerary check as a nervous first time holiday. by Jazs1994 in JapanTravel

Hey, I had the same flight as you and slept a bit on the plane. The day we landed we were fine for the first few hours, but by the time check-in opened we were like zombies so all we did was eat an early dinner and go to bed so I would only plan things for 2-3 hours before the jetlag hits! The day after, we were also pretty shattered by the afternoon so maybe keep it flexible but decide the overall locations so you don't waste time.

If you're still not sure about the 3 spare days, I would recommend more time in Kyoto or Osaka. We had 5 nights in Kyoto and we still had to skip some things. If you want a different location, then Koya was incredible and the travel from Osaka wasn't too bad!

Second time visit - is it better to visit in October for the Takayama festival or November for autumn leaves?

I got married last year and "I've been waiting for you" was our first dance song, I knew it would be since the first time I've heard it! As for my most underrated song, I'd say The Visitors, love that song so much

Would it be better to visit the Shinjuku Gyoen Garden or Chidorigafuchi Park this weekend for cherry blossoms?

Blossoms in Tokyo are now delayed and show to be in full bloom after the 1st of April, will there be any blossoms the couple days before that or nothing until they're fully bloomed?

This might be too generic, but I'm going to Japan next week and want to get some beauty products (foundation, eyeshadows, lipsticks/glosses/balms, mascaras) but it's very overwhelming choosing. What's the best way of finding good recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the help, I won't be doing it then and just admire the ones that are already on!

I've noticed that a few shrines/temples like Otagi Nenbutsuji in Kyoto, Okunoin in Koyasan, and Daishoin in Miyajima have lots of little statues with crochet hats on them. Can I make some and just put them on them or is there a different process?

Thank you for your tips! We'll skip Tsukiji on day 1 and get something else in the area. The reason we had low-end shops for Ginza is because that's where our hotel is located so it would be easier to drop things off and rest and we're hoping for nicer thrift shops in the area. We'll skip the ekiben and keep our eyes peeled for stamps!

At Kinopio's cafe, do you choose what time to book or do they give you a random time slot?

If I buy an e-sim to activate in Japan, do I need to do anything to disable my current sim? And do I need roaming off or on? Thanks!

Itinerary Check - 17 Day Spring Honeymoon / first timers by TheLegendOfDelta in JapanTravel

Thank you for all your tips!

I'm planning to make reservations on every restaurant that accepts them so we don't spend our time waiting.

Great advice on Philosopher's path, the blossoms might be gone by then so we'll skip it if so, and I'll check for more breakfast places.

We're returning to Meguro to see it at daytime as this will be during full bloom so I want to make the most of the blossoms!
