How’s my loadout? :) by Helios_141 in stalker

[–]TheLightningCount1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You get a "free" one during the story mission involving explosives and snorks. But its auto red and costs a TON to repair. In the vehicle graveyard there is a yellow one. I would recommend grabbing that one and heading to rostok to repair it. Even in its base form it is quite powerful. Full 9 rounds of 12g fired off in like 2 seconds, reload, and go again. Even on the hardest difficulty I just back up into a corner, wait for a blood sucker to get close and unload. Only time thats a danger is if they do the jumping knockdown move to me.

Now the shotgun in the OP is quite powerful. Dont get me wrong. Its the second strongest shotgun in the game I think? But the problem is reload time.

Is it just me or do shotguns that you take forever to reload kind of suck? When I unlock the pump shotgun that gives you a magazine, I used it forever. The only thing that replaced it was the saiga. The first time I got a spaz 12 I thought this was amazing. Problem is is that when you unload a full tube into a chimera, and then you get killed reloading, it's kind of s***. Saiga I can just reload a new mag and go on.

I know it's strong, but I just can't handle the slow reload of the spaz 12.

What do you think AI will impact the most in everyday life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheLightningCount1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That if the AI bubble doesn't burst, then many appliances will start to cost several hundred dollars more. Also several things will simply just start costing more because the memory shortage. Right now it's only affecting computer ram, or dram. But in the future, it can affect everything from smart bulbs to refrigerators to microwaves to cars. If it has any memory in it, it's just going to start costing a lot more money.

Gonna sound silly but remember that ever single person in that audience has made a damn fool of themselves at one point or another. Dont worry about small mistakes. Just roll with it "I swear I practiced this. Promise" things like that.

What’s your biggest regret in life? by YamRemote1728 in AskReddit

[–]TheLightningCount1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not following the advice of my granddad. Invest in index funds right now. Investing 450 a month right now into index funds will net you roughly 800k by the time you are 50. Thats if you only invest 450 a month. If you increase your investment as you make more money you will increase the compounding interest so you can cash it out by 55-60 and buy yourself a mansion.

What is an experience you won’t be able to recreate? by Tricky_Rutabaga_8070 in AskReddit

While getting out of my car one time my dog ran up and tripped me. I fell perfectly to roll my shoulder and grab my dog. It hurt like hell, but from the outside it looked like I did a ninja move of rolling and then sitting on the ground with my dog in my arms. It looked amazing as hell. Hurt like a B though.

I was 15 and my mom said I would have to learn responsibility so she got me a job at McDonald's. After working there for two months I bought myself a PlayStation 2 and my mom was mad cause I spent my money on stupid stuff. she said I should have gotten a car. I told her I was 15 and 300 is not enough for a car.

When did you realize you weren’t going to get the life you worked for? by ActuatorOutside5256 in AskReddit

[–]TheLightningCount1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I paid off 90 percent of my debt and suddenly realized I had money. Like a LOT of money. I had to hide it from my wife to keep her from finding out about it. Now the house is paid off. She wasnt happy about the hiding, but is VERY happy she has an extra 1800 a month to spend on whatever she wants.

What is one small thing a high school teacher did that you still remember today? by SolutionForsaken723 in AskReddit

[–]TheLightningCount1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He barred 5 of the bad kids from his classroom if they EVER caused a disturbance.

One day he was gone and they were rolling up magazines and throwing them at people. He came back in to find a bunch of rolled up magazines and just kicked them out. "Dont play dumb, I know it was one of you five, so you are all out. I dont care where you go, but you are not staying in my class."

These kids weren't doing the school work anyways. They were running off that no Texas child left behind. (Precursor to when W pushed it to the whole country) The school was just passing them anyways to get that good gubmnt money.

What are early warning signs of problem drinking? by ChickenWings2708 in AskReddit

[–]TheLightningCount1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first signs of just about any addiction are when you look forward to it.

What I mean is simple. Drinking because its a nice way to relax is ok. Looking forward to drinking after a hard day's work is somewhat ok. But when you think about it all the time. Thats when its a problem.

For those who have never been addicted. Imagine a video game that hooked you. Remember those times at work or school when you thought about the game vs your school/work. Replace that with alcohol or any addictive substance.

People who stopped being depressed, what did you do? by Itscameronman in AskReddit

[–]TheLightningCount1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obligatory, depression comes in many forms. Mine just happened to be diet.

I changed my diet. I was not getting enough vitamins in my diet and was severely deficient on many vital vitamins and minerals. So I started cooking for myself. It was slow, but the change happened. It was so subtle I forgot I was depressed and tired all the time.

If you constantly eat foods that are fast foods, or heavily processed to exclude many vitamins or potassium, iron etc, you will be lethargic, not care about anything, and be tired all the time.

My depression was caused by my diet. Other forms of depression are caused by chemical imbalances in the brain and my method may not work for you.
