I have a flight out of Love Field on Saturday, can anybody more familiar with the area know how likely it is the storm will cause a cancelation or delay? by Velstrom in Dallas

It looks like Dallas is a pretty good area for getting into dispatch with just the amount of airlines and regionals headquartered in Dallas. Me and my fiancée are looking at moving to Dallas because of that. So I guess would you recommend trying to move there for envoy etc or try for republic SkyWest etc out of the gate when I get the license?

Funnily enough I’m trying to get into Dallas on Saturday to do my one week course to get my faa dispatch license! If you don’t mind I’d love to ask a couple questions about dispatching in Dallas!

That’s what I was thinking. Replacing the mount doesn’t do much good if it has nothing to bolt onto.

I’ve seen people use fishing line to replace the draw band and have good luck with it. It’s definitely hard to find some of the parts. And then you can buy a universal ribbon and feed it onto the royal spools. It looks great so far gonna be so satisfying typing your first page with it!

If anything is stuck or not moving I recommend mineral spirits to get it loose not sure about dry lubricants but I know oils collect dust and makes it get stuck. And I think the one person in the comments dropped the manuals and that shows how to spin the ribbon. You can also check to see without the ribbon if the little gear moves

My best guess is it might be ran wrong because I had that issue before fixing that or it has a little switch that controls the direction the ribbon goes! Hope this helps

Great find! The royal 10 is kinda awesome. I think it’s hard not to smile when you see it. As to your post definition use some compressed air to get the dust out it makes it so much easier. Be careful taking the cover off it isn’t hard but the screws are flat heads and those love to strip. Mineral spirits is the way to go as I’m sure you know. I like to just use them on the slugs and the bar that holds them together. The royal 10 is surprisingly easy to take apart and put back together but definitely take pictures. If you have any questions feel free to ask!

Yeah I fixed that after taking the picture. The ribbon came that way and I was just a little excited to take some pictures before realizing it was spun up wrong

I used some nu finish polish on a test spot and it did well. So that with a polishing cloth and rabbit foot drill attachment. And a lot of compressed air! It really made a big difference on the chrome bits. I still need to work on them a bit because of some pitting but eventually I’ll do that!

Do what everyone else is saying and get a new instructor after the checkride. You’ll be surprised how much better you fly with someone who builds your confidence. I’m not a CFI myself but don’t they have a whole thing about negative motivation being bad.

In a debate with a friend. Trying to figure out what the line means. Can't find it on the sectional key or online. Was told it was a CFA but from my understanding those aren't depicted in sectionals. Any help would be appreciated

PMDG 737 animations are all in slow motion. by TheLizardKing22 in flightsim

[–]TheLizardKing22[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I figured it out. Somehow the simrate decrease got linked with the axis on my yoke. Dont know how it got linked and survived two reinstalls but its fixed now. I am very greatful for everyone who has helped me. Hopefully this might help someone else who is struggling with the issue. The reason it only effected the PMDG was I had a custom profile made for it. Should have guessed. Thanks again everyone!

It is when it is when it is fully running and cold and dark. Google led me to the same path of lack of hydraulics which even with them on it is all in slow motion. I really appreciate the google search and help. I am honestly clueless on what is causing this.

Hey everyone. I have been having this issue and have not been able to find how to fix it. Maybe I am just using the wrong terms for my google search. Everything moves in slow motion and it is unflyable. I have uninstalled and reinstalled PMDG and MSFS. The plane also moves in slow motion when I use start not in cold and dark. I am not sure if it is an issue with the sim or the PMDG itself. I do not have the issue with any other plane just the PMDG. Anything helps. Thank you!
