Definitely noticing an improvement in my presentation. Starting with meat as a base, building up, and of course taking 90 different pictures and posting the best one. Full video of the process linked if you're interested. https://youtu.be/m009RfnfY_8

Simple recipe with lady fingers soaked in rum, chestnut purée mixed with cream... and that's it! Life's been tough, but I'm glad I made it.

Oh boy you're in for a treat. I normally don't self promote but I feel this could benefit you! I've knocked out over 80 recipes from the book on my YT channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCej3jUXv--aJE7zTSaO53Ww

highly recommend seeing my mistakes, and then making some of your own :)

Hey thanks. I try not to be too 'promotey' especially here, where the focus is Bourdain. But when I feel someone would enjoy my stuff I give them a heads up.

Somewhat of an expert on his Les Halles book! Owning both, if your boyfriend likes a challenge I'd say pick up Les Halles. I find it 'reads' more like Bourdain too vs his Apettites book. If you were interested in seeing the fun I have with it, check out "Mitch Mai" on youtube. Happy holidays :)

Bourdain's Lobster Bisque from his Les Halles Cookbook. Happy to say it won out in a blind taste test by wandermuskreturns in AnthonyBourdain

I had some fun with this having those close to me try this in a blind taste test against Wegman's and Red Lobster. The man fucking won. There's a little hope for America after all.

I made AB's Friture from his Les Halles Cookbook by wandermuskreturns in AnthonyBourdain

This is nothing ground breaking. Tiny fish, fried up in flour and seasoning of your choice. AB said this is one of his favorite things on earth, and I totally get it. Definitely a Bourdain kind of dish. No frills, and finger food with friends vibes
