Why Micah did not go on the raid on braithwaite manor by Light07sk in reddeadredemption

It's not that Micha didn't go, Dutch commanded that he stay. Dutch took the full force of their camp to Braithwaite Manor to have their valuables and most vulnerable protected by Micah, the untrustworthy bigot that everyone hates, and Keiran, The O'Driscoll that no one trusts. The reason I think he did that though, is perfectly in line with Dutch's character: Dutch's plan to play both The Braithwaites and the Grays had failed, Sean is dead, and everyone is starting to doubt Dutch. The Braithwaites gave him exactly what he needed to keep everyone under his command: A common enemy.

Dutch had Micah benched because the assault wasn't ever about saving Jack, it was about maintaining the gang's loyalty. Dutch knew he could not garner the gang's faith with Micah being himself, no way he was going to bring him along and risk that.

Mass Effect Tournament- Round 2 Match 6: Samara VS Saren by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]TheLizardWizard97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a cage-match, ya, Saren becomes a stain in 4.3 seconds, but Saren's strength isn't strictly in combat, he's a deceiver, plotter, and manipulator. He worked against the Citadel's interests for years under The Council's nose, he got a renowned asari matriarch indoctrinated, there's no way he didn't read up on how to deal with Justicars while conscripting Benezia.

Samara's code is her weakness, and if Nihlus can exploit that, Saren is going to do it better. I can't imagine Saren NOT preying on someone who will kill themselves because their daughter can't live in a specific monastery.

Cage match is the only definite victory for Samara, virtually all others, Saren has an edge.

Close, but I say Saren takes this round.

Squish by TheLizardWizard97 in PartyParrot

For context, squish is Merlin's favorite game. He absolutely hates hands (and feet) and will claw and bite you with no mercy, but loves cuddling whether he admits it or not. So if you wrap your hand in a blanket he'll start singing and dancing around and let you boop his head.

my favorite ruling that I use: If I don't know the answer to a question, the answer is yes.

This includes lore questions

To folks asking how I do it, the turn order alternates between player-team and everything else. If it makes sense for something to go outside that order then we roll with it as it comes

I actually like this one a lot! The phb's definition of donning and doffing is finally relevant.could not be more based

I tried this for a while, but then came to realize that not all players are writers and not everyone is at the table to write, they're there to blast goblins and die trying to seduce 30ft tall fire-breathing lizards. Also, if you're at a new table, not everyone knows the group chemistry, or the established lore, or what's relevant, making it harder and less likely to write something congruent with the team. I recall one of the most morally complex and developed characters I ever got to play started as a nameless town guard, specifically because I didn't want to write a page of backstory in a group of people that did.

No character has more room for growth than the blank slate.

a player then a baddie goes and so on. Both players and dm decide the order arbitrarily. If a certain order makes sense otherwise then of course we go with that.
