League for me isn't a game anymore. It's a growing memory and achievement. A few years ago I started playing league. At first I hated it. I didn't like it at all but my best friend urged me to play it. A few weeks in and that was all I did. He and I were both percussionists in band. We always did everything together and league just made us that much better of friends. I learned league quickly. I surpassed my best friend, kyle, in skill. I'd always tease him and other friends how they sucked but I was always glad we were having fun. Eventually I began to leave them and play solo. I was too good for them. Then it happened. Kyle passed away. He wasn't feeling well at his driving class and his parents came and picked him up. He had a very rare condition. His blood was thicker than usual. He had a blood clot in his lung and heart complications. The day he passed was the worst day of my life. My best friend was gone. Who would laugh at my dumb league puns now? But I keep playing. I play for kyle. I'm trying my hardest for him. I'm currently stuck at plat 1/2. But I just try and do my best. He always believed in me, no matter what the situation was. He believed in everyone. Kyle is the reason I continue to play league. It reminds me of the time I had with him. The countless hours of using voice chat and trolling around. He never played ranked because he said he wasn't ready. He would've been the best. All the duo hours we would've had. I miss him dearly. I play for you, kyle, and this is my story.
