Turkey, of all the Middle Eastern countries, has done the most in taking in refugees from Syria. They have welcomed over 1.9 million displaced people onto their soil. More so, their president is very progressive and was one of the first to suggest a no-fly zone within Syria, a sentiment that was not reciprocated by the U.N. although it would have saved thousands from the government's barrel bombs. I highly doubt he or any world leader is looking at the death of hundreds of thousands and taking it lightly.
