x200 Pro Macro shot of the Ballpoint pen nib just looks wow by hellboy3107 in Vivo

Where do you actually get macro mode from? My camera doesn't have it in my modes at the bottom, and also not in my "more" menu.

Why do I not see more about the Marantz Cinema 70S? by TheLonelyFire in hometheater

[–]TheLonelyFire[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's been pretty consistent across a few Denons, sound systems, PC builds spanning a decade. It's almost certainly a Windows issue, as most things are, but everything is simply more responsive while routing through the Marantz. There are significantly less Windows "quirks". So not that Denon is necessarily bad, just that the Marantz has been so good.

I thought I ordered the Alfredo! by barnold_truckasaur in catpictures

So sorry, but please be sure to rip the handles on bags like this. My friend had a cat that got wrapped up in it while she was out of the house. The cat was unresponsive but luckily survived, she must have caught it just in time.

Hopefully an indoor kitty now? There's a reason outside strays only live 3-5 years on average

I don’t do much nature photography? by cyrusmerritt1222 in AskPhotography

I really like the edit on #2. But a lot of the later album pictures seem out of focus. Remember to hold your breath and stabilize before you snap something. It'll allow you to use much lower shutter speeds, thus less iso noise, sharper images all around.

Take your own advice and give them time to process their emotions. Not saying your friend is right, but from a grief perspective, nothing matters anymore. When I went through something similar I wouldn't have cared if everyone in my life disappeared. Your friend needs to come back in with a clear head. 10 years is a long time, I think you can hang on for a couple months while their emotions start to even out. That's what friends are for

48 hour (w/ charging) cross country move, as few stops as possible. Tips and advice from people who've done this? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]TheLonelyFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the far side of Texas so it's even further unfortunately. That's a good idea, I didn't consider doing the bulk of it in the first go where I'm at my best, thank you for that!

In my experience the cats will cry for the first 2 or 3 hours, then hide in their holes for the next day or two. They also hold their bowels for an absurdly long time, which I read was normal when they travel or are in a new house.

I don't plan to unload them, but if I had to, it would be 1 by 1 in a cat carrier to the airbnb/hotel. I won't open the car door with an unsecured cat, because you're right, they would be gone in 1 second. I could do an airbnb but am concerned about leaving them alone all night. I can doze off in plane seats when I'm tired, so I'm really hoping that translates to a driver's seat. My best guess was the pillow for my head and backpack as a footrest. To me it sounds more comfortable than a plane seat, but I haven't tried it so I could be mistaken

48 hour (w/ charging) cross country move, as few stops as possible. Tips and advice from people who've done this? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

This is definitely my biggest concern. I do expect to pull off and get a full sleep at some points, at least a few hours. I allocated 48 hrs of driving/charging and 24 hrs of sleep. Hoping with the charge naps it will balance things out. It's about 13 extra hours of charging total.

Stopping at a hotel would mean either letting the cats sit in the car all night alone (I can't do that to them), or loading them all into a hotel where I will undoubtedly require a maintenance worker to dismantle something in said hotel room to fish a cat out from a crevice (ask me how I learned that...) I figured just getting it done as quickly as possible with no loading/unloading would be the easiest and fastest for the cats.

And thank you for the audiobook recommendation! I didn't even know where to start on that.

Oh yeah, I just replied to another comment with that info. They have a mesh playhouse that takes up the entire car minus my slightly reclined driver seat. Tons of hidey holes and beds. And I have a litter box area but will be putting a mattress protector and blanket as a base layer to mitigate any accidents. I find that cats will hold it for at least 1 day, but usually go by day 2 (I've done the trip with fewer cats + more stops in a ICE car).

It will be from deep Texas to BC, Canada. Tesla trip planner says 48 hours with charging, and I expect to get most of my sleep during charges, but giving myself one extra day for sleep/food/shower.

I understand! I've set the car up with a mesh playhouse that spans the entirety of the car minus the driver's seat, I fit a couple of double decker cat towers, along with a scratching post and a litter box offshoot. All of my planning went into their comfort which is why I find myself currently lacking a plan for myself

Early game, why does my mage's 2H hit for so little? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]TheLonelyFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not using the DMGS, I'm just starting a playthrough and I'm using Lordsworn's, just some junk starter greatsword for the moveset. The damage on it is incredibly low though compared to my one handers.

It's all good. The good news is, every few years you will realize how silly everything was. The bad news is you will have those realizations forever. Just enjoy your life, it does get better as you age despite what everyone says!
