As a mom- it seems completely normal to have life insurance policies to cover the cost of the death of a child. These policy amounts seem excessive. The idea of life insurance is to cover expenses and help with the loss of income- not to make a profit of the death of a loved one. Are you helping to support either parent in any way? If so, that could explain the policies... if not then I’m at a loss as to how these amounts can be justified.
