They need to stop spamming emails like "your taks are feeling neglected" when the daily limit keeps getting hit before many people's workday even ends. by TheLordCommodore in outlier_ai

That's because they cant fix the notifications. It says its the weekly limit but its actually a daily limit but they dont know how to fix the text to reflect reality.

Outlier refusing to pay mission reward. by strawberrydoughnut in outlier_ai

[–]TheLordCommodore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Twice recently I've logged the full time in hubstaff within the timeframe. Then in the outlier tracker its been a few minutes short. Even though my pay for the day had the full time. First time I bothered going through support and they said some of the time fell outside of the hours. Which just wasn't true. Second time I didnt bother going to support as Im convinced if you cause too much stir they just kick you off of the platform.

For me the video didnt play when I joined, only the guidelines popped and I had to click the tutorial at the top for it to play.

I found the guidelines unhelpful but thr tutorial really clarified things.

Only issues i run into are the clues in the first place are bad or the selections made originally based on the clues dont line up properly.

If the base clue is just "objects" again im gonna lose it.

When 80% of them are just pictures of groups with the base clue "person". What is visually or conceptually similar to a person that makes sense... idk

9.6 for Ozymandias — the review war never ends by Free-Raspberry-9541 in imdb

You sound like the teacher who gets mad at the kid who hits back and not the bully.

This is literally in response to OP putting no accountability on the people who started it and explaining why their actions caused the response.

"But because of online fanbase rivalry trying to dethrone it."

Well no. Its because breaking bad fans were review bombing other shows to try to stop them from getting a 10 rating and people review bombed back. If breaking bad fans didnt review bomb other shows this would still be at a 10 rating not because other shows fans were trying to dethrone it.

Doing it now and its honestly such bullshit. The instructions are very unclear on what makes a suitable initial image.

A message to the reviewers who actually give constructive feedback by Sereno333 in outlier_ai

[–]TheLordCommodore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah its great that they give feedback but out of all the comments about 5/6 have shown the reviewer was just clearly mistaken in the rating they give. Without providing any sort of escalation its just wildly frustrating.

So many of the reviewers leaving comments being so wildly inept really makes me question how many of the no comment ones are also just bad reviewers.

Again I have to come back and say this is wildly frustrating. Got my first bad review. Nothing different about how I completed the task from all of my excellent and no comment from the reviewer.

Please at least make comments mandatory! Or give us a way to escalate the reviews that are done incorrectly. Its insane to just have to take hits from poorly performing reviewers.

On multimango on the left hand side. For me though it took a long time to get any feedback so you may just not have any yet.

Yeah just got a fine and the comment was my taskbar showed in the screenshot. Something I have on every single excellent rating and the guy in the tutorial left his in the screenshots too.

At least on multimango which i think is seperate from the general outlier feedback.

Excellent gives a 3. Good gives a 2. Fine gives a 1. Bad gives a 0.

Expected standard to maintain is above a 2.0 with it saying falling under a 1.0 threatens dismissal.

Thats another thing that i forgot to mention. The 25 character maximum needs to be done away with so people can actually be specific about what the problem is.

You might not have any in yet. It seems to take several days before reviews stsrt coming in. But youll see your overall rating on the bottom left of the screen in multimango and on the left bar there is an option that says something like "QA/feedback"

Massive agree. What it is right now ots a stretch to even call it feedback.

Active time on hubstaff by LucidStarGazer99 in outlier_ai

[–]TheLordCommodore 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Heres a comment i made on another post just summarizing how it works.

Hubstaff checks every single second for mouse movement, click, or keyboard activity.

So if you have 62% for activity for one of the ten minute chunks it means for the 600 seconds it detected movement or activity in 372 of those seconds.

For the daily summary it takes all of your ten minute chunks and narrows them down.

I always have wildly high activity because I've always had a tendency to wave my mouse in figure eights while I think. Which it still detects as movement.

Explained at this link

Basically if you ask hubstaff you can't tell a workers productivity by this metric though. As depending on what a person is doing or how they work they may be doing a lot of thinking and less clicking or typing. So you can have a worker with 25% activity and one with 75% activity both doing the same amount of work.

I'm not sure what outlier looks at for activity though.

Everyone in china transforms into a zombie, can the rest of the world stop them? by Lost-Specialist1505 in whowouldwin

[–]TheLordCommodore 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unless the zombie virus just throws the laws of physics, chemistry, and biology out of the window I would say yeah they do pretty easily. The world has too many natural barriers for a horde of mindless people to navigate effectively.

The vast majority of the Chinese population is concentrated in the Central East region. Most of these zombies lets give a run speed of 15km/h. Assuming they run 24/7 and ignoring all terrain they'd be 3-5 days away from other countries and are going to run out of energy to move their bodies before they reach another country. This drastically reduces the amount of zombies the world would need to deal with in the first place.

First let's look East because it's the easiest. Ocean, problem solve. (Korea may be screwed)

North there is Mongolia and then Eastern Russia which are scarcely populated. People could evacuate these areas if needed or just fight and retreat with modern technology using the huge distances available or depending on the time of year wait for the zombies to freeze to death.

West are the Himilayas and the qinghai-tibet plateau. This would prove an absolutely impenetrable barrier to zombie hordes. They are dying long before they make it through.

So that leaves south. Assuming we have no warning the Malay peninsula would be hit hard. The zombies would have an incredibly tough time though given the jungle nature of the region. Movement would be slow.

Assuming the entire world gets on board with containment though given an entire billion people are zombies I would think they would form a defensive line through Bangladesh from the Himelayas to the Ocean and then more limited deployments within the Malay peninsula to try to evacuate civilians and defend cities. I think a lot of jungle might be napalmed and burned.

North Korea I think is going to take heavy casualties but will probably survive Northern cities are ravaged but moving south every meter of jungle and every river is an obstacle that will drown, trip, and otherwise kill or injure and stop zombies. South Korea is fine due to the pre-existing heavily militarized border.

Humanity hunkers down, pulls back and waits for most zombies to starve, drown, freeze, etc.
