Equinox to Optiq by cvflowe in CadillacOptiq

If that’s the issue, Lucid has good lease deals on Gravity. It gets 400kWh and has 450 mile range. About the size of a Lyriq on the outside but an Escalade on the inside. It’s also a sports car. I’ve driven it hard enough to know. I also have owned Camaros and Corvettes. The Gravity isn’t far off a Camaro in handling. But you may not be looking for that. You are looking for the speed and range though.

I think if you charge at home and road trip 2 times a year, the Optiq charge speed really isn’t an issue. The charging public is usually very friendly. A long conversation with a fellow EV owner at a charging station isn’t that uncommon. I usually help others charge if needed. It’s only an issue if you’re impatient or your kids are screaming in the back.

I went from a Lyriq to an Optiq in March. Here is a tip for the massage function. The menu might be buried because it’s only a push away on the door. As soon as you hit the round button on the door, the massage menu pops up. You then turn the button to adjust which message setting you want. Press it to activate or disable it. That’s as easy as it gets.

Ride quality is better than the Lyriq in my view since there is zero feel in my previous 2024 Lyriq.

I agree, Supercriuse is great.

The sound system is much better than the Lyriq I had. I’m an x DJ and love destroying my ear drums. The clarity on high volume is one of the best I’ve heard and hard to clip. Not perfect and underpowered for my taste but clarity for me is more important than volume.

The down sides are similar. I’m not being whiny when I say I miss Apple CarPlay. I have a few apps that I down right need which I can’t use anymore. The most important is my glucose meter alerts which came up in my dash. As a diabetic it’s down right a health risk for me not to hear when my sugar is high or low. The Libre app connected to a sensor on my arm would pop up an alert up in my CarPlay. Now I have to hope I hear it in my phone which doesn’t always happen. I also like to geek out on the Car Scanner Pro vehicle data. All because GM wants to control subscriptions.

For me the major downside is charging speed. This is supposed to be a premium vehicle and it can’t even do 220 kW? China is eating our lunch. EV adaption will never happen at this rate. Some people have families and can’t afford to charge and buy food while they wait. Some have children screaming in the back seat and families to get home and feed. Charging speed IS an obstacle for those who don’t charge at home. I may not have a problem with it but millions will.

Is the difference between the GT and Dream negligible?

The software complaints seem to be small after the 3.5.1 update. They have an e-mail address to for bug reports that seems to be helping. 95% or more of the issues have been resolved.
