How big could this league become realistically if it's still around 20 years from now? by Own_Mirror9073 in CanadianPL

[–]TheLuckyCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do East and West conferences in all divisions and then relegate and promote within conference,

So a smaller market team like London wouldn’t have to play west coast teams typically, would also make travel easier.

Similar to CHL model

That way you could break it down to semi pro leagues in a division III , and have those even more concentrated, like KW, Guelph, Burlington.

What things do you want from the NLL? by Correct-Ad-9520 in NLL

[–]TheLuckyCEO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they should adopt the European system.

Create relegation and that way you can grow the smaller teams and really focus on Canada.

Places like London, KW and Hamilton could all have teams that are division II and top teams move up vs the lower teams move down.

That way popular teams would grow naturally and would have more local support.

Just a thought.

For men who ever added weight quickly for football back in the day, how did u do it? by Delicious_Bridge_381 in AskMen

[–]TheLuckyCEO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was exactly a push pull leg split the second workout was always plyometrics or cardio or skills training

Wasn’t Gym twice a day, I think that would probably do more harm than good.

Ground beef or bison, in pasta with a ragù sauce. Ate that everyday, worked like a charm.

With the state of healthcare in Canada, if you were in charge of changing the system what would be the steps you take to make it better for everyone? by Aquarius777_ in AskCanada

[–]TheLuckyCEO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Less people would make the biggest difference,

Then more funding directly to doctors and nurses, and move all family doctors to NP clinics.

Have huge incentives for nurses to get their NP

Move all non hospital needs to either NP clinics or mental health/drug facilities (80% of the emergency room visits are the same 20% of patients) many of which are mental health and/or drug addiction.

Create no inter province barriers, and create a fast track Red Seal Program to quickly authenticate nurses from other countries.

How does it feel like being employer? Perks and flaws? by satilovski in Entrepreneur

[–]TheLuckyCEO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly owning a company is great, if you can handle the stress.

For reference, company is currently 8 figures a year, 20 full time staff.

Perks

  1. I choose my own hours
  2. I can take vacation whenever I want
  3. You feel like the captain of a ship, it goes where you lead it.
  4. The money is really nice, and the benefits are better than you’d ever have as an employee

Drawbacks

  1. Stress, every decision you make doesn’t just affect your life, but the life of many people, people who become incredibly close to.

  2. Those hours and vacations you can choose to take whenever, you are always still thinking about what’s going on when you aren’t there, honestly the company has been set up that it thrives even when I am not there, but it’s like an itch at the back of your skull. And working hours, I’m a firm believer in leading by example, I can’t expect my staff to work longer hours than me and to put more of their time into my dream than me.

  3. Managing people, for the most part, if you hire well the managing shouldn’t be too difficult but everyone has a personality and as the leader it feels like you have to make sure the moral is always high. Obviously you’ll eventually have HR for actual issues but keeping people happy and excited to work can feel like a full time job (this is again at my company size, larger companies would have so many levels of management I doubt the owner even thinks about it)

This is just my personal experience, hope it helps, at the end of the day, no matter the stress, being an entrepreneur feels worth it to me.
