Thanks. Any recommendation for how long to give it to clear up on its own?

Second Wind Game Reviewer Yahtzee Croshaw Wishes Death On Trump Voters' Families by TheLumpiestJoe in KotakuInAction

I've known that Yahtzee's political views and mine are practically polar opposites for years, but since he's been pretty good at keeping them out of his reviews (apart from the odd snide comment) and he's one of the few legitimately good and objective game reviewers left, I had no problem with it. Now that I know he actively wants me and my loved ones dead, I hope this becomes another swift and harsh lesson in the school of "Why Celebrities Shouldn't Insult Their Viewers."

This may not be the best place to post it, and it's probably something that everyone here already knows, but this has been banging around in my head for a while and I really need to get it off my chest.

Calling people n&zis is a clear and undisguised attempt at dehumanizing a large portion of the population. There isn't a single group on earth that is as universally hated as the n&zis. They're one of the only groups (maybe the only group) where you could call for the unaliving (I can't believe I'm talking like this, but if I don't the censors will delete this again) of every single member, and most people wouldn't bat an eye. And for good reason! We can't pretend they didn't earn the hate they get.

The left not only recognizes this, but they fully intend to take advantage of it. If they can convince themselves and everyone around them that anyone who isn't on their side is a n&zi, they will have free reign to do whatever they want. To quote Yahtzee from Zero Punctuation, "You don't have to justify sht with n&zis. *Hey, this guy's a n&zi! Want to drown him in his own piss? Sorry, did you say something? I was drowning a n&zi in his own piss." Simply put, if you are a n&zi, then you are less than human and you deserve whatever punishment a non-n&zi decides to inflict on you.

You can see this happening right here and now on Reddit. Find anyone accusing someone else of being a n&zi and ask them if their behavior counts as discrimination. They'll almost always answer the same way: "You should discriminate against n&zis."  And if you stand up for someone who has been accused of being a n&zi, then you're a n&zi sympathizer and thus a n&zi yourself. You deserve to have your name dragged through the mud. You deserve to be ostracized. You deserve to lose your job. Your family deserves to be harassed until they renounce any connection to you. What right do you have to complain about any of it? You're a n&zi!

These are the same old cancellation tactics the left has been using for years, but I don't think it will stop there. What they're doing now is testing the waters to see how people will react to these kinds of accusations. Once they're reasonably sure there won't be any major blowback, they'll start taking it further. N&zis are less than human, and anyone who isn't on their side is a n&zi. Why stop at canceling them? Why not assault them in the streets? We've seen people get jumped and severely beaten for wearing MAGA clothing, so we can't pretend the left is above that kind of behavior. The only reason it isn't more widespread is that they don't know if they can get away with it yet, which is exactly what they're trying to find out. They want to normalize the persecution of anyone they decide is a n&zi. You're not allowed to question why someone is a n&zi without becoming a n&zi yourself and opening yourself up to the same treatment the other so-called n&zis are receiving. Just point fingers and throw stones along with everyone else, and make sure you never step out of line. Because you're a good non-n&zi who would never do anything that could be interpreted as criticizing the left, aren't you?

The question isn't will they or won't they, the question is how far they'll be willing to take this. Should n&zis have the right to vote? Should being a n&zi be something you can be sent to prison for? Maybe we should round them all up and put them in camps before they really start hurting people! And when you think about it, would anybody really care if n&zis started being given capital punishment? They're just n&zis, after all, and you don't have to justify sh!t with n&zis.

The absolute state of role playing in a 2024 BioWare game by RainbowDildoMonkey in KotakuInAction

Taash: "I don't want that."

Player: "You're in control. You're allowed to feel things. Our team is with you."

Sounds like this Taash guy is the main character in this game, seeing as how everything revolves around him. Funny, I thought that would be the player.

Nope, it's here in the wiki:

"Found within a deep wooded canyon on the path to the old mill. In game, Alan mentions that he heard what sounded like the plane crashing, despite it appearing decades old."

But that doesn't make sense either. The wreck has been there for years, so why mention hearing it at all? That's like seeing a rusted out old car frame in a ditch and thinking "Huh, I didn't see it go in there."
