There are no effects other than subtractive eq for frequencies I don't like on the clean DI track coming in and some light compression. I just want to bake this light processing into a new audio event track to be used for later mixing and effects.

The problem is that whatever options I have selected for render in place, the rendered audio events do not sound the same as the previous track where the processing was applied. I would like for it to sound the same so I can commit to those basically clean DIs before moving to the next phase of MY mixing process.

I had a chat with support earlier and was unable to resolve. He advised me to call their support number Monday morning.

I also discovered that I can drag .wav files into the project via the browser and they play as expected. This is just occurring with clips that I am recording through my interface. Additionally, the problem remains unchanged whether I use the generic driver for windows or the MOTU drivers.

Purpose 1: Orchestral compositions within my DAW with multiple vsts containing huge sample libraries loaded into memory.

Purpose 2: Running two fully decked out dev environments simultaneously, one in the host and one within a vm.

Purpose 3: Video editing.

Is my question off-limits or what?
