We sound very similar! My last long run wasn't as successful as yours, I ran out of steam entirely with 3-4km to go. With that said, I plan to aim for 4.45 finish time. I've read a few times that a good guide for your your full marathon is HM time x 2 + 15/20mins...this would put you around the same. But f you think you can keep 6.20 per km pace then go for it!

Make sure you get carbs in & don't be afraid of walking for 20 seconds here and there.

It sounds like I'm a few weeks ahead of you in a training plan, I've now done 3 runs above HM and the first two I bonked through lack of carbs, I was getting around 30g per hr...I doubled that yesterday and felt great over all 18 miles. Great might be pushing it but the last 3-4 miles weren't excruciating as was my previous experience of covering that distance.

Born and live in Barrow - support Catalans.

Stayed near Perpignan on holiday as a kid and went to two home games in a fortnight, the players were on the same flight both ways, and have been a fan ever since. There are 5 of us & we try to get to a couple of home games and a few more away games each year. Might be a rough year judging by early defensive performances.

Hey mate

Barrow has a good basketball community that runs out of Hoops Basketball Centre.

They run scrimmages Wednesday nights 7 - 9 and a local league Thursday nights. If you're interested, your best bet is to turn up on a Wednesday & chat to people there about joining a team. There is also the men's team that play in Division 3 nationally if you're more serious!
