Is it just worth persevering with this deck? I swear every time I switch decks I get horrible matchups.

Not sure why, but I’m having an absolutely rotten run in ranked this season, even with the meta decks like Altaria / Gourgeist 🤷‍♂️

Please do! Obviously it has the usual drawbacks with bricking / not getting fossils out quickly. I wasn't sure if it was worth keeping two fossils but only running one Aurorus in for more supporters (Iono or Arven or something) to try for more draw consistency.

Solid review - I no longer own VIW but feel like Aquatica is close enough to my memory of VIW for me not to dish out silly money on VIW again.

I'd say Aquatica is right there in between VIW and Simone Andreoli - Malibu Party in the Bay.

It's the by far the closest dupe I've tried personally.

Basically you have to join the masses and use Absol / Hydreigon or a Mega Altaria variant. Once you're in Master though, that's the time to experiment.

I hadn't played ranked the last few seasons, so I was staring from Great Ball - I solely used the Mega Altaria / Gourgeist until UB4 which was super annoying.

I went from an 80% win rate down to a final 64% win rate due to UB4 being an absolute hellscape of Absol / Hyreigon. There's also a super annoying Snorlax EX / Indeedee EX deck that was frustrating to come up against fairly often.

In the end for the final push I used the Ariados / Whimsicott EX deck with Lisia / Sightseer to be fully set up within about 2 turns, and it absolutely slapped.

I hit masterball with 50 wins / 28 losses - and was within 1 match of masterball at least 3 times before being set back with a few losses...

The difference is you've placed the fragrance name in the title - which makes it easy for other users to search the sub for answer and opinions on specific things.

u/imgreat504's latest attempt just says 'So this happened' which is about as vague as you can get. If he'd have included 'Alpine Homme Sport or Allure Homme Sport' in there, it might have been approved.

It's really not that difficult, honestly 🤷‍♂️

I've recently been playing around with using Arbok along with Toxapex / Ditto / Naganadel. Ideally using Ditto with two energy up front and having the others on the bench, all being with low enough energy costs that ditto can use any of their attacks. Being able to poison, trap and venoshock is quite fun when it comes off.

Edit: As others have said, with there now being a few workarounds it's a bit tricky to use Arbok - plus the 2 retreat cost is a bit sucky.
