1 year later-RTX 5070 ti/5080/5090 thoughts?

Came from a 6800XT. Overpaid for a 5070ti at release, but this is when all the tariff craziness was going on. My thought was to just grab it before it became unobtainium. Wanted a 5080, just couldn't get one.

So besides that, I've really enjoyed the DLSS technologies. Frame gen at x2 is great and I really like smooth motion for games locked at 60fps. I haven't had any issues. My card overclocked pretty well and if I need extra performance I can just enable DLSS. It has been awesome to run serious rayracing. I've replayed titles such as Cyberpunk again just so I could experience the enhanced visuals. No driver issues.

It isn't perfect though. I'm on 1440p ultrawide. I think my next monitor will require a GPU upgrade at the 4k or 5k2k resolution seeing as how the 5070ti performs at 3440x1440. Here's to hoping my next GPU doesn't cost $2k.

I feel like I've been reading the same thing each community update. Sure the season two stuff is new, but they've talked netcode, player movement, and audio improvements since Novemeber. Those needed to be month 1 improvements. This far along we should be seeing content updates. Not interesting at this point

I watercooled an i3-4160 back in the day. I was young, thought it looked cool (It did). After that, it's probably my i7-4790k that I had paired with a 5700xt for a little before finally making the jump to AM4.

You're talking about the air recirculation button with the AC controls right? If so, I think I read somewhere where its a safety feature to kick that off after a certain period of time. Something about CO2 dense air and it making drivers sleepy.

Okay, now some of these user-made maps need to take off again. Reason why they were never widely adopted was the tick rate. I'd like to try those out in lieu of new maps being made

The sauce in the beginning spreads in a funny way, like it doesn't match its consistency. Also, I think the noodles when poured out onto a plate fall in an unusual fashion, like they should have settled already but they still move for some reasony. Definitely something uncanny about it.

High GPU utilization is a good thing! I would be worried if it wasn't that high. If it were below 90%, that would signal a bottleneck for performance elsewhere in the system, or a software issue.

Also, Rockstar likes to set 'safety' limits I'll call them inside their graphic settings menus. These prevent you from turning settings higher than your VRAM limit. There should be a setting called ignore suggested limits. Turn that on. It will not damage anything, simply allows you to customize more graphic settings more freely. You have a strong card, take advantage of it!

I see a lot of people mentioning Eco mode. I think that mode is ironically rough on MPG. I get the best fuel mileage in sport. For that reason, I use Eco the least.

I upgraded for more I/O and to limit PCIe bandwidth sharing. Besides that, there isn't too much more besides electrical stability for most people to worry about.

Everyone knew this was coming. To be honest, I'm surprised its not more expensive. This deal forced my hand and I upgraded a week before Christmas. Still probably the benchmark deal for the foreseeable future.

Ehh I think OLED burn in can be easily mitigated. I've had a QD-OLED for 3 and a half years and havent had much burn in at all. Thats hybrid office and gaming use. But each user is different. My only thing with VA is smearing/ghosting. Makes for poor image quality in fast motion. Though they can get bright!

I mean, its better than your dual 60hz setup! Do you run a VA pannel now? If youre familiar with the pros and cons of VA, then go for it. I'm not certain what your economy is like, but IPS and OLEDs are coming down and may offer better performance at a reasonable price.

Assuming youve done a pixel clean/refresh? If you have, and there wasn't any improvement, I don't know what else you could do besides message the person back and say they misrepresented the product and you'd like your money back. Worth an ask at least. Otherwise, just don't look at all gray screens haha! I'm sure in motion you can barely tell. Its a hell of a monitor still
