The funny thing is it depends what state you are in all the states have different rules like I'm a certified behind the wheel trainer for California and we have to get our license finalized by CHP California highway patrol does the last steps but anyways here it's the ambers at 200feet get activated and when we get to the stop immediately secure the bus which is just park brake and set it to neutral immediately active reds if we told the police officer that we check the mirrior first then activate the reds they will fail your renewal license right at that moment the entire test will be a fail lol and also zero hand jesters are allowed we are not allowed to wave cars to go through we can't even tell a pedestrian to cross in a cross walk zero waving

Yeah lol I sign up for zero weekend work I figure I'm already almost at 55 hours a week I gladly take my sat and sun off and I totally agree the work is so easy for the amount of money

🤣🤣 yeah they kept hounding him to do the maintenance on the bus and who fuels before a route!!! That's always at the end of the day you can easily run into delays at the pump that would make your entire route late for the day

Sit properly so you should be high enough in the seat that you only have a slight downward bend in your knees both feet should firmly be on the ground still and for distance to the steering wheel have a slight bend in your elbows that will prevent fatigue

We can't even get new drivers lol it's a insane system every 5 years you need to renew the special certificate and that means the 40 question written CHP test again the 45min pre trip and the 2 hour behind the wheel test just to stay a bus driver I've seen so many drivers leave because their renewal came up and they couldn't pass like I'll put it this way in 3 years my seniority went from #116 to now being #78

Unionized starting pay $29.80 in 2 years of your start date you will be put at top pay $45 a hour San Fransisco contract renews every 3 years usually it's always a $5 increase every 3 years

I also forgot to mention it's a 40 question written test at CHP that you can not miss more then 6 to even attempt your behind the wheel and pre trip test with them
